The primary focus for this major release was to evaluate user requests for improvements and additions, implement as many of them as possible, while preserving the reliability, stability, and performance requirements that the XML community has come to expect from the Oxygen suite of products. Some of the highlights of the additions and improvements in version 21 include numerous new features and enhancements for DITA authors. For example, the DITA Reusable Components view was further enhanced with a new tiles layout and new filtering/sorting options, you now have the ability to preview images before inserting them, support for profiling attribute groups was added to make it possible to filter and flag content using values organized with hierarchical subcategories, DITA maps are now automatically re-indexed when opening them, submaps can now be validated while keys are gathered in the context of the root map, the application now comes bundled with the latest version of DITA-OT (3.2.1), and many other DITA improvements. Collaboration for your XML documentation review process is now readily available since the Oxygen Content Fusion connector add-on is already installed in Oxygen XML Editor.
