Hi Eliot, The 'Open/Find Resource' dialog works on the entire project content and in the opened DITA maps. There's an info button (encircled i) in the dialog that mentions this. Currently the dialog only allows searching either file paths or content or reviews (change tracking comments, annotations) at one time. Regular expressions are not supported, but some wild cards are (mentioned in the first label between parenthesis). You can use ? for a character and * for a sequence of any number of characters. Note that at this time, due to a mistake on our part, the file paths are actually file URLs, so if you want to search an exact local path you should prefix it with 'file:/'. I've logged a request to investigate and implement the means to specify a limited scope. One of the scope options would be the currently selected project resources. I'm finding the open/find resource dialog very handy, but I was surprised that opening it from a selected folder in a project does not limit its search to that folder, which is what I wanted.
Is that a reasonable expectation?
Also, is there the possibility of regular expression search against filenames? I didn't see an indication of that in the dialog or the online help.
Cheers,
