-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi George, Are there limitations wrt platform or browser for the browser-to-oxygen conversion? I was able to paste in an image as shown in the video, but if I try to paste in a ul or some other simple construct from the browser, it pastes it in as plain text. Likewise, if I try to paste in actual html markup, it escapes all the markup and pastes it in. I'm using 12.2 on Linux testing with Firefox and Chromium. Thanks, David On 10/18/2011 01:24 PM, George Bina wrote:
Hi Bob,
This works like this: we look in the clipboard for content in HTML flavor we convert that to XHTML we apply the frameworks/docbook/resources/xhtml2db5.xsl on this XHTML fragment we paste the Docbook result into the document - this may trigger a number of recovery/automatic fix actions

So where does one find more details about Smart Paste and how it works? I looked in the online Help file, and that term did not appear in the Index. Using Search in the online help I found the "Schema Aware" topic, but that was just to turn it on, it seems.

Hi,
We are happy to announce the newest video demonstration that highlights oXygen's capability of converting unstructured content copied from various sources (like web pages or Microsoft Office documents) into valid structured DITA content. This capability is also available in other documentation frameworks embedded in oXygen, like Docbook, TEI and XHTML.
The video demonstration is available at: http://www.oxygenxml.com/demo/Smart_Paste.html
