I'm on version 15. The files are modified outside of Oxygen. I didn't realize a project/folder refresh also updated the index. Thanks for letting me know. Does it also update the index when oxygen is opened? Steve On Wed, Jul 17, 2013 at 7:42 AM, Oxygen XML Editor Support < support@oxygenxml.com> wrote:
Hi,
What version of Oxygen are you using? Do you make changes to files indexed by Oxygen directly in the file system (outside of Oxygen)?
Oxygen already keeps the index up to date as you edit and save documents. It will also automatically re-index the files modified directly in the file system (outside of Oxygen) if you manually refresh (select and press F5) the folder or the file linked in the Project view (it checks the file timestamps). So, in theory, you should never have to manually update the index. You can see when the index was last updated in the Open/Find Resource dialog, bottom left.
Please let us know if you've encountered any issues with this.

Working with large filesets with frequent changes, reindexing for resource searching can be a pain. I have to remember to do it and it takes a while.
Is there a way that oxygen can automatically update the index when files change? Alternatively, is there a command-line option to rebuild the index that I can integrate with my workflow?
