Hello, If you have a user-based license in your name and you are using both computers, then you can keep Oxygen on both. This is allowed because the license is user-based, not computer based, so you can actually have Oxygen on as many computers as you have access to, but you are the only one allowed to use it with that license. So in short, you are not obligated to uninstall Oxygen from the old computer, unless you sell that computer or give it to someone else (you are no longer the user of that computer). In case you are wondering, the license activation is offline, you just enter the license key in the new installation when prompted to. There is no "de-activation" when uninstalling Oxygen, simply because there is no remote activation to begin with. If you need the license key again, you can write a direct request to our support email address: support@oxygenxml.com Regards, Adrian Adrian Buza oXygen XML Editor and Author Support Tel: +1-650-352-1250 ext.2020 Fax: +40-251-461482 support@oxygenxml.com http://www.oxygenxml.com On 28.10.2014 12:10, Jean-Luc Chevillard wrote:
Dear list members,
I have just discovered the existence of this list this morning and it is just possible that the question I am having has been asked one hundred times, in which case I apologize in advance.
What is the correct procedure for transferring Oxygen from one computer to another one.
Do I have to uninstall from the old computer and reinstall on the new? (as is the case for instance for Adobe Creative Suite).
What happens if the old computer has become so unstable that it is difficult to access?
I am having all the Oxygen licence numbers safely stored on some external hard disk.
Thanks for any pointer.
