Hello,

We’re proud to introduce version 5.4.0 of the Oxygen Git Client add-on, your trusted tool for seamless version control and collaboration. This update brings a host of improvements designed to make your Git workflows even smoother and more efficient.

Here are the key highlights of this release:

 * AI-Generated Commit Messages: A new button above the commit message area lets you generate commit messages using the Oxygen AI Positron Assistant.
 * GPG Key Signing: You can now sign commits with GPG keys for added security.
 * Enhanced Branch Creation Workflow: If unpulled changes are detected when creating a new branch, a confirmation dialog box is displayed where you can choose whether or not to pull the changes before processing the branch creation.
 * Improved Merge Handling: Receive warnings when merging branches with unpulled changes, allowing you to update the branch before retrying the merge.
 * Detection of Orphaned Remote Branches: Local branches linked to deleted remote branches are now flagged and reported.
 * Custom Remote Pulls: Pull changes from any remote branch, not just the tracked one.
 * Progress Feedback: When performing tasks such as switching or merging branches, restarting a merge, and many others, the progress of the operation is now shown when it takes more than two seconds to complete.
 * Detailed Comparison Tools: When comparing revisions or resolving conflicts, the comparison tool now offers more detailed information about the commits involved.
 * Updated to Latest JGit Component: The JGit component was updated to version 7.0.0.
 * Minimum Oxygen Version Update: The add-on now requires Oxygen version 26.1 or newer.
 * Bug Fixes: Various issues have been resolved to ensure a smoother user experience.
