Indeed, I have multiple products installed on my Windows 7 machine: some older versions (14.2) of Editor and Author and some new versions (15, 15.1) of Author. Also, most of my xml files are DITA topics so most of them have the .dita extension (some older files still have the .xml extension). I guess I'll need to take some time to clean up my computer and make the correct file associations.
