Hello everyone,
Next week, between the 17th and the 19th of April, the Oxygen XML
Editor team will exhibit and present at the ConVEx conference in
Baltimore – the immersive experience for content developers!
There, you will get the chance to meet a part of the Oxygen team
in-person (George Bina and Radu Coravu) and discuss with them
ideas related to the Oxygen products and supported technologies,
or see a demo tuned to match your specific use-cases.
Of course, similar to the previous years, they prepared for you a
great agenda comprising of both test kitchens and presentations
that looks like this:
Monday, April 17, 11:15 – 12:00 EDT
Oxygen XML Add-ons for Technical Writers (Test Kitchen) -
Radu Coravu
Description: Oxygen XML Editor and Oxygen XML Author can be
enhanced by installing add-ons. There are quite a number of free
and useful add-ons for technical documentation writers and Radu
Coravu will explore some of them. During this test kitchen, along
with our most popular add-ons, you will be able to see the
introduction of our newest plugin - the Oxygen AI Positron
Assistant – a great tool that will enhance your editing
productivity with the use of OpenAI ChatGPT engine.
Tuesday, April 18, 10:45 – 11:30 EDT
Using DITA for Business Processes (Presentation) - George
Bina
Description: Our company has many internal documents that describe
different business processes to maintain internal knowledge and
procedures. We previously used a wiki but as the number of
documents increased, it was difficult to handle all this
information. For this presentation, George will focus on how the
DITA extensibility support makes DITA a good fit, storing semantic
information that enable many automation processes and dynamic
access to relevant topics.
Tuesday, April 18, 15:30 – 16:15 EDT
Practical Git Workflows for Tech Docs (Presentation) - Radu
Coravu
Description: During this presentation, you will be shown the
practical aspects and workflows when using Git as a version
control system for technical documentation using the DITA XML
standard. Watch how a DITA XML documentation project can be stored
on a Git repository along with common settings, present common
editing and collaboration workflows based on the common Git
repository for technical writers.
Wednesday, April 19, 10:45 – 11:30 EDT
Use-Cases Using the Oxygen XML Tools (Test Kitchen) -
George Bina, Radu Coravu
Description: Oxygen provides tools that allow creating content,
reviewing it, publishing to different formats and getting feedback
from your users. For this test kitchen, join George Bina and Radu
Coravu to discover how you can combine the Oxygen XML tools to
create solutions that integrate with your workflows.
