Hello,

We are proud to announce the release of Oxygen AI Positron Assistant 5.0, a powerful tool that helps you increase your productivity by integrating next-generation AI capabilities throughout the authoring and development ecosystem.

Starting with version 5.0, Oxygen AI Positron Assistant features integration with Eclipse, AI-driven capabilities for file creation and updates, DITA conversion and analysis tools, dynamic workflows, and an improved document change management. The plugin can seamlessly integrate with external tools such as document validation and terminology checks, optimize performance, and streamline processes with advanced AI models and callback functions.

Key Enhancements in Version 5.0

* Eclipse Integration
The AI Positron Assistant is now available as a plugin for Eclipse, working with the Eclipse plugin distributions of Oxygen XML Editor/Author/Developer, offering most of the functionality available on the desktop version.

* AI-Driven File Creation
Generate XSLT, XML Schema (XSD), Schematron, JSON Schema, or DTD files by providing a simple text description, dramatically shortening the setup time for new projects and enabling authors to focus on content innovation.

* AI-based DITA Conversion, Analysis, and Update Tools
Transform existing documents or DITA topics into various specialized DITA types (Task, Concept, Reference, Troubleshooting, Glossary). Also, an AI-powered analysis action can restructure topics by dynamically splitting the document into parts and applying the conversion to the appropriate topic types for each part.

* Exclude Resources from AI Processing
Oxygen AI Positron Assistant will check if files or folders are added to a specific file named ".ai-ignore" and it will issue an error if the content from those ignored files or folders is about to be processed by the AI.

* Dynamic Workflows with AI Callback Functions
The AI now seamlessly invokes external processing steps (such as validation and terminology checks), reducing manual effort and promoting efficient authoring workflows. The AI engine may also create or update existing files using a save document callback function, but Positron keeps you in control, offering a visual diff to let you understand the changes and the possibility to accept or reject the changes.

* Expanded Document Attachment Support
Attach Word, PowerPoint, or PDF documents (including embedded images) as supplementary context so that the AI can provide more precise suggestions and intelligent insights.

* Reasoning Models
Users of the Oxygen AI Positron Service have access to two newly introduced OpenAI-based models, "o3", "o1", "o4-mini", and "o3-mini". These reasoning models tackle complex challenges in software logic, technical documentation, or business rules, boosting accuracy and productivity.

* Integration with xAI Grok
The latest OpenAI connector updates allow direct integration with the xAI Grok AI engine, expanding the flexibility and scalability of AI services for organizations.

* Accelerated Validation and Comment Resolution
Performance enhancements lead to faster turnaround times and reduced costs when fixing validation errors or resolving comments within technical documents.

* Distributable and Filterable AI Actions
Easily customize which AI actions appear in the user interface, distribute specialized AI functionalities to specific teams or projects, and filter out non-essential actions.

* Reference Prompt Files
Custom AI actions can now reference external text or Markdown prompt files, offering a more structured, reusable approach for orchestrating AI behavior.

Availability for Oxygen Web Author and Oxygen Content Fusion

Most of these capabilities are also available for Oxygen XML Web Author, providing users with the same improved reasoning models, document attachment functionalities, xAI Grok integration, and customizable AI actions in a web-based environment.
