Dear Sascha, You can control the maximum memory through the -Xmx parameter. How to set this parameter depends on the operating system and on how you start oXygen. These options are described in the user guide http://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/ug-editor/index.html?q=/doc/ug-editor/topics/se... Now, it is the processor that makes a program faster - of course the memory can also slightly change that as well - for example if the used memory is very close to the maximum memory then you may experience slow downs due to many invocations on the garbage collector, in this case increasing the maximum memory may speed up the application. You can check how much memory is used in the Help -> About dialog.
