Hello, We will look into a possible implementation of this request. A drag and drop with the open file tab or an action like "Add edited file to DITA Map" on the toolbar of the DITA Maps Manager view will make adding the topic to the map easier. Regards, Sorin Eliot Kimber wrote:

For the project, just add to the project.

For DITA maps, create topicref to the file. That would make it easy to create a new file and then add it to map without having to go through the "add topicref" process.
