
Hi Matt, Oxygen 14.2 will do this, no configuration necessary on your part. If the xref will be empty the editor will present some static text inside it which is detected from the target topic. If you start writing text in the <xref> the static text will disappears. The same will be available for Docbook. Oxygen 14.2 should be available in a couple of months (this Spring).
