Hi Lionel, In the Preferences->"XML / XSLT-FO-XQuery / XPath" page there is a prefix-namespace mapping list. That list of mappings is given to the Saxon processor when it applies the XQuery operation. For example if in that list of mappings you bind a prefix like "stuff" to the XML namespace "http://www.w3.org/2000/xmlns/" Saxon will report this error because the XML namespace can only be bound to the "xml" prefix. Or if you bind a prefix called "xmlns" to any namespace... So possibly you have something similar in your mapping list. You can try to use "Restore defaults" in the preferences page.
