Hi, just in case other people are interested, jexcelapi looks like it could be sufficient: http://jexcelapi.sourceforge.net/ java -jar jxl.jar -xml input.xls > output.xml produces XML as required. cheers, Jakob. On Wed, Jun 27, 2012 at 7:44 PM, Jakob Fix <jakob.fix@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi Jacob,
Oxygen uses the open-source Apache POI project to read the Excel file. Of course then we have custom code which take the POI objects and produce the XML but maybe if you know Java you could also use the POI project to produce your own XML.

Hello,
The import operation from Oxygen is only available in the GUI, not in the command line. I've added your vote for this feature request on our issue tracking tool.

Hi,
I'm currently automating a manual process of actions using ant (or maybe xproc). At some stage however, the process uses Oxygen's Excel import functionality. I wonder if it's possible to call Oxygen from the command line to import an Excel file and save it as XML file? Right now it's a lengthy process of about 4 or 5 clicks.
cheers, Jakob.
