Oxygen 8.2: File navigation dialogs very slow
I'm seeing an odd behavior on one of my machines which is that the file navigation dialogs for Oxygen have started responding very slowly. The problem appears to be limited to Oxygen (I don't see the problem in Eclipse or Explorer). It feels like a network timeout problem. Any idea what might cause this or how I can diagnose it? Hello, We experienced this delay only with the update 2 of the Java 1.6.0 virtual machine from Sun Microsystems, that is Java version 1.6.0_02. It was already recorded as a bug in Sun's database: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6578753 and we added a note on the Download page that this JVM update is not supported due to this bug. Do you have any zip archive with many files on the Desktop? Do you have a network drive that is currently disconnected or not available still mapped in the filesystem of the computer running oXygen? These are possible causes of the delay. Regards, Sorin Eliot Kimber wrote:
