I'd also like to know if there is some way one can assign the current file to a "for" variable to output it... I'd like the XQuery to be able to identify from which file it has gotten each result as it outputs the results... Brett

Isn't the standard XQuery function called document-uri() provided exactly for that? Just pass a node of the document as parameter and it will return the URI of the document. Regards, Sorin Brett Zamir wrote:
