Drag and drop to install an add-on?

The Oxygen documentation includes multiple buttons that can be dragged and dropped into Oxygen to install an add-on, e.g. at: https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/26.0/ug-editor/topics/translator-help... where the button is a link to: https://www.oxygenxml.com/InstData/Addons/default/updateSite.xml?oxygenAddon... Is this specific to Oxygen's add-ons or can anybody make a button for their own add-on by using a URL of the right format? Hello Tony, This should work for any third party add-on. There is a tip here: https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/25.1/ug-editor/topics/installing-and-...
As an alternate approach, you can add an Install button to a web page that links to a URL that has the syntax |https://host/path/to/updateSite.xml?oxygenAddonId=addOnIDValue| and drop the button into the application's main editing area.

Thanks. I had looked at lots of topics about frameworks or customisation but not, obviously, about installation. Regards, Tony Graham. -- Senior Architect XML Division Antenna House, Inc. ---- Skerries, Ireland tgraham@antenna.co.jp
