I have a java SDK installed, but, when I try & run oXygen, it says it needs a runtime; how do I update this to see my installed SDK?

Hello, The .zip distribution of Oxygen for Mac requires Java SE 6 from Apple. The .app launchers of this distribution do not recognize the more recent versions of Java (7 or 8) from Oracle. There is an alternate .tar.gz distribution of Oxygen for OS X that is bundled with a Java SE 7 runtime from Oracle. However, this distribution using Java SE 7 has proven to be unstable on some systems. At this time, for the best user experience with Oxygen on OS X we still recommend using this .zip distribution with the Java SE 6 runtime from Apple. If you are not prompted to install Java SE 6 automatically when you start the application and it then fails to start, you can download Java SE 6 ("Java for OS X") here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572 This works for OS X 10.7, 10.8, and 10.9. Note that Java SE 6 ("Java for OS X") from Apple and Java SE 7/8 from Oracle can coexist on the same machine. Let us know if you need further assistance.
