[Ann] Oxygen XML Suite Version 22.1 Release

Hi everyone, We are happy to announce that Oxygen XML Author/Editor version 22.1 was released! New features and improvements added in Oxygen XML Editor/Author/Developer version 22.1 include: *Improved productivity for DITA users with CTRL+click navigation on links and topic references, automatic key generation for new topics, faster new map creation, and making the DITA References view plugin discoverable with installation-on-first-use. *Using CSS to customize the PDF output is used more and more, and the CSS-based DITA to PDF output reflects this with many updates, including support for change bars and the possibility to bring the changed content into sticky annotation notes, support for using CSS to style embedded SVG, better handling of white space, hyphenation, and line wrapping, as well as improved error reporting to help you troubleshoot issues. *Copying content from the Author visual mode and pasting it into HTML or word processing documents will preserve similar HTML formatting whenever possible. *When working with documents, comparing files in the visual Author mode is a huge productivity boost and usability improvement, and while this was available in the standalone version, it was missing in the Eclipse plugin version. Not anymore! The visual diff and merge support can now also be used inside Eclipse. *The professional-grade JSON and HTML support was further improved, with a focus on the latter, extending the Schematron validation support to work on HTML documents, a new action allows you to make HTML as XML well-formed to enable further processing with XML tools, and you can format and indent specific HTML elements *Sometimes a new functionality is introduced through plugins to allow for a faster development and immediate availability. To make these plugins easier to discover and install, we implemented an install-on-first-use support. The user interface that triggers the plugin looks as if the plugin is installed, but when you try to use it, it will first trigger the plugin installation. This is the case for existing plugins such as the Git client, Batch converter, XSD to JSON Schema, and Oxygen Emmet Plugin, as well as for new plugins such as the Generate Java Classes from XSD or the DITA References View. *Other user interfaces and productivity improvements make the Results view dockable in any position for more flexible layouts, find/replace in files also presents matches in the visual Author mode, better search functionality will understand adjacent words on separate lines, you can hide almost everything, including the editor tabs for a presentation mode. Also, an external MathML editor can be configured, allowing you to easily edit MathML with tools such as Libre Office. *New APIs allow for finding the names of pseudo-classes for elements, customization of the tooltip text when editing in Author mode, using the Author API directly on content without opening the content in the editor, running validation scenarios from custom Author actions, and contributions of new code templates. *Many components were updated, including the DITA Open Toolkit, DITA Open Toolkit Plugin for DITA-to-Word, Everit, Saxon, TEI Schemas and Stylesheets, Xerces, focheck, Log4j, Rhino, and XSpec. For the complete list of features, see: https://www.oxygenxml.com/xml_editor/whats_new.html We hope you will enjoy Oxygen 22.1! As always, any feedback on it is welcomed. Best regards, Alin
