Hi, Some may recall that I was having problems transforming a large document to PDF using FOP-0.20.5 in the pre-release of version 3.0. As V3.0 pre-release was shipped with FOP-0.20.4 I configured FOP-0.20.5 as an External FO Processor. To my dismay I could not get the transform to work. Now, with the official release, the same document, perhaps a little larger [500 pages], is transforming to PDF without problems. I'm not sure for the reason. But there you goes technology for you. -- Sean Wheller

Hi Sean, If you have not specified when you started the FOP as external processor a maximum heap (using -Xmx option in the fop command line) then the default was taken which very likely was 64MB. In oXygen 3.0 the bundled Apache FOP maximum heap is controlled from the options and I guess you have a larger value specified for it. Hi, Not quite. I did specify the memory in the fop.sh. Anyway, I think this is a good bit of info to add to the HOWTO on Configuring an External FO Processor. I will do the update later today. Sean Wheller On Thursday 22 January 2004 03:01, George Cristian Bina wrote:
