Focus is not changes when I open already opened file

Hi, I'm suing oXygen 11.2. When I open file (File -> Open) which is already opened, nothing happens. My recollection is that older version of oXygen moved focus to that file in this case. Is there some new parameter to control this behaviour which I have missed, or it is permanent degression? Hello, This behavior hasn't changed, it should work the same way in 11.2. I've tested this on the last build and it seems to work fine, the already opened editor is selected and it receives the focus. What platform are you running Oxygen on(Windows, Linux, Mac)? What build number of Oxygen are you using(Help -> About)? 11.2, build 2010033012 I'm using oXygen private version of JVM, 1.6.0_18-b07 Thanks, Jirka -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Jirka Kosek e-mail: jirka@kosek.cz http://xmlguru.cz ------------------------------------------------------------------ Professional XML consulting and training services DocBook customization, custom XSLT/XSL-FO document processing ------------------------------------------------------------------ OASIS DocBook TC member, W3C Invited Expert, ISO JTC1/SC34 member ------------------------------------------------------------------

I've managed to reproduce the issue. It only happens with the Java file chooser. This is used as a failsafe mechanism that prevents Oxygen from crashing repeatedly in case the native file chooser has trouble initializing. This failsafe can also be triggered accidentally if Oxygen is quit forcefully(end task) or your computer reboots or loses power while Oxygen is running and has a file chooser open. To re-enable the native file chooser go to [user-home-folder]\AppData\Roaming\com.oxygenxml and delete the file: Win32FileChooserCrashGuard.txt Afterwards restart Oxygen and you should no longer encounter the issue. Many thanks, that made the trick. And thanks for having Windows file chooser back.
