Saxon -init option in scenario config

Hi, I've just installed oXygen 13.0 beta, to look how it supports the -init option of Saxon (from 9.3). But I could not find it. Did I miss it? If not, is there any plan to add it before 13.0? This can be a very convenient and powerful way to customize the built-in Saxon used in oXygen (to have it well integrated and properly customized at the same time). Hi Florent, I am afraid we will not be able to include this in version 13 but I will record it for 13.1. In the meanwhile please use from oXygen Saxon PE/EE with a configuration file. Too bad it is too late for 13.0, but thanks for recording it for 13.1.

Unfortunately, as far as I can see, there is way to set an Initializer from the config file :-( Regards, -- Florent Georges http://fgeorges.org/ http://h2oconsulting.be/

As I read the documentation for the Initializer it is supposed to match what can be set in a configuration file. So, my suggestion is not use a configuration file with Saxon PE in oXygen to accomplish exactly the same settings that you will have with Saxon HE and an initializer class from command line. Sorry, that "not" should be replaced with "to". Best Regards, George -- George Cristian Bina <oXygen/> XML Editor, Schema Editor and XSLT Editor/Debugger http://www.oxygenxml.com

Ok, I see now. But from what I see, this is not the case. The Initializer is just a placeholder for the user to perform any processing on the Configuration object. I think the goal is to be able to go behind what a config file or the command line options let you do. The Initializer doc talk about the Configuration object (not the config file). Unless I missed something, of course... Regards, -- Florent Georges http://fgeorges.org/ http://h2oconsulting.be/
