Hi there, Everytime when I open a XSLT file in Oxygen, I get the following message at the bottom: E[JAXP] The transformer JAXP is not present. Please install it ... I have no idea what this refers to, but I have seen it for a while. Any help in getting rid of this would be appreciated, Christian -- Christian Wittern Institute for Research in Humanities, Kyoto University 47 Higashiogura-cho, Kitashirakawa, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto 606-8265, JAPAN

Hello Christian, In the Oxygen Preferences->"XML / XSLT-FO-XQuery / XSLT" page there are two combo boxes in which the default engine to validate XSLT 1.0 and XSLT 2.0 are decided. You probably chose JAXP (which means a Java API which can be used to integrate an external XSLT engine) in one of the combos. Just click the "Restore defaults" and "OK" to use the defaults (Saxon 6.5 for XSLT 1.0 validation and Saxon 9 for XSLT 2.0 validation). Hello Radu, Thanks a lot, that fixed the problem. I never knowingly changed this setting, so was not even aware of its existence. Christian On 2010-02-04 16:57, Radu Coravu wrote:
