First steps with WebHelp Responsive
Hello support team, hello Oxygen users, I am trying to set up a WebHelp Responsive transformation for a DITA project. My first step was to set up the output options (see Fig. 1 below). The transformation completes successfully. When I click on "index.html", the main window opens and looks as expected. However, none of the links to the topics work. They all produce an "Error. File not found" message. The directory where the HTML files reside differs from that where they are searched for. Examples: * Link to file:///C:/CGS/DOKU/DITA_projects/0000_recent/build/out/ctuner/help/shared-ctun/task/quick_start.html File resides under C:\CGS\DOKU\DITA_projects\0000_recent\build\out\ctuner\help\enu\enu\shared-ctun\task\ * Link to file:///C:/CGS/DOKU/DITA_projects/0000_recent/build/out/ctuner/help/enu/task/pack_intro_rdg.html File resides under C:\CGS\DOKU\DITA_projects\0000_recent\build\out\ctuner\help\enu\enu\enu\ctuner\task\ In addition, the transformation results window logs ".... resource is outside the scope of the input directory" messages for many DITA files. I have set the "outer.control" parameter to "warn". Maybe Oxygen does not like the directory structure of my DITA source files? It is as follows: build sources common (language-independent files) images enu (English files) ctuner (location of DITA root map and Oxygen project) concept (DITA files referenced by maps) reference reuse task images shared-ctun (DITA files shared with another project) concept reference reuse task images shared (DITA files shared many other projects) concept reference reuse task images out ctuner help (for WebHelp Responsive) enu (English version) There are many DITA projects in this folder tree, so changing the structure of the "source" folder is not an option. Restructuring the "out" folder is possible. How can I instruct Oxygen to generate the files in the appropriate folders so that the links in the main window get resolved? Previously, I generated CHM files from the project. Knowing that CHM does not support "..\" links, I generated it from the "sources" top-level directory. But I thought, modern help formats support links to folders which are parallel to or on a higher level than the root ditamap being processed. Not true??? Any help is greatly appreciated. Hello Frank, you should add your main maps to "main" files. Than the resolving should work. Hi Franz-Josef, I have Main Files support already enabled in my Oxygen project. The root ditamap that I am processing is a submap of the ditamap that I have added under "Main Files". 1. This does not help. The error persists. 2. I have no idea why this should help. I do not see any logical relation to the issue.
