Change tracking is very cool. That will help a lot in making Oxygen Author mode a viable alternative to other editing options (e.g., Word, InCopy). Great to see: * Automatic mnemonics on dialogs actions so you can use ALT+letter to invoke them Especially on the Find/Replace dialog. I notice that not all controls have this; e.g. on the Find/Replace dialog, the "Text to find", "Replace with", and "XPath" text boxes don't have mnemonics. Also, Options / Preferences appears to have no mnemonics. Nevertheless, since Find/Replace can be a repetitive operation, it's very helpful to have the mnemonics on the "Find" and "Replace" buttons. Thanks, Lars

Hello, We will set mnemonics also on "Text to find", "Replace with", and "XPath" in the release of version 10.2. Regards, Sorin Lars Huttar wrote:

I've just downloaded it, and installed it on Windows XP Pro SP3. The fonts are weird, they are not really clear. You can see a snapshot there: http://www.fgeorges.org/tmp/oxygen-font.html That's just a little snapshot, but really this is not possible to use it as such. Not sure what other info I could provide... Regards, -- Florent Georges http://www.fgeorges.org/

Hello, You can customize the text anti-aliasing method used in Oxygen from Options -> Preferences -> Fonts -> Text antialiasing. You can try different options until you find the one that suits you. The 'DEFAULT' option means that the operating system anti-aliasing method is used. Unfortunately in Windows XP the default doesn't look very nice. Thanks. Indeed, turning it ON is much better, but still worse than the DEFAULT in 10.1. It is not that bad, but enough to prevent me to switch to 10.2 I think. Regards, -- Florent Georges http://www.fgeorges.org/

Hi Florent, The only thing we can think of is that it is possible that the all platforms 10.2 beta uses a Java 1.5 JVM while 10.1 uses the Java 1.6 that comes with the oXygen kit for Windows and there is a big difference between them Java 1.5 and 1.6 wrt anti-aliasing support. Taking into account that we have the 10.2 release almost ready I suggest to get that when it becomes available, in a few hours. As that uses a Java 1.6 JVM similar with 10.1 the anti-aliasing issue should be solved. Thanks for the follow-up. Sounds fair. I'll install the final 10.2, and check the problem is because of the different JRE. Or maybe there is a simple way to make oXygen to use another JRE installed on my machine? Regards, -- Florent Georges http://www.fgeorges.org/

You just need to edit oxygen.bat to put instead of the java command the full path to a Java executable from one of your Java 1.6 installations. This is described also in the user guide: http://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/ug-oxygen/installation-instructions.html See the Note under Procedure 2.4. All Platforms Installation. BUT, the last update is that the 10.2 installation kits will be available in about 30 minutes... I confirm this is fine with JRE 6. BTW, using a JRE 1.7.0 gives the same result as with the default one... Regards, -- Florent Georges http://www.fgeorges.org/
