Is it possible to upgrade parts of the Oxygen Tool Chain without compromising the integrity of the application. For example if I installed the latests RC of FOP would oxygen accept it? Hi, I would not recommend changing the Xerces version as oXygen has a strong dependence on it. Anyway we are always shipping the latest Xerces at the time of release. Can you give me a file list that you consider to be safe? I have added the latest FOP (just the FOP.jar) but transforms fail. I assume some dependency on other files. When I role back it works. The reason I am doing all this is to solve publishing problems. Sometimes the problem is in the DB XSL's and often that is the problem and I can solve it just by using a new version. But when that fails, it helps to start looking a tools like FOP. Sometimes an upgrade fixes the problem and then life goes on as normal. Sean Wheller OFF TOPIC: BTW. Any component can be changed, except xerces. Make sure you are placing all the jars that compose a component in the lib directory. For example replacing fop.jar implies also replacing avalon.jar and batik jar. By the way, we tested the latest FOP and there are some problems with it. Sean Wheller wrote:
