Hi, Is there besides just showing an error using the Workspace.showErrorMessage another way available in the API for showing errors (or warnings)? This would be useful when there are multiple errors when opening a document, to provide more details on top of just an error message. Resolving of images programatically

Hi I'm trying to resolve content using a custom AuthorReferenceResolver. plugin access to existing document types?

Hi, all. I was wondering if there is a way for a plugin to interact with existing document types. I'm working on a plugin with functionality that will work in both EAD and TEI, and there are a couple of things I was wondering about. 1) Is there a way in the APIs to determine what type Oxygen has detected an open file to be, e.g. if it is EAD, TEI, or something else? 2) Is there a way for the plugin to add a CSS file to an existing document type definition? I'd like to add some custom styling for the elements and attributes that our plugin adds; I could just provide the CSS via URL and tell users how to add it in their preferences, but I was wondering if there was a better way to do something like that. RSuite Applet Integration: Managing Framework Details

I'm adapting code originally written by my colleague Lukasz, who implemented against 14.0. I don't fully understand the details of how it all works, so groping in the dark a little bit. In our current framework file we provide custom classes for handling the various insert actions: <field name="operationID"> <String>com.rsicms.rsuite.editors.oxygen.applet.extension.operations.InsertS ymbolOperation</String></field> One each for insert system, insert image, insert reference, and insert cross reference. The custom code is using server-side code to provide lists of things to select. These are the only changes to the OOTB framework, so if there was a more indirect way to set up this action bindings, that would be ideal. Please feel free to point me to the relevant docs. In addition to just trying to make this work, I'm also trying to work out the best overall engineering approach for building custom Oxygen integration plugins. Our expectation is that different clients will want different customizations depending on their doctypes and business rules, so I want to make sure it's as easy to do as possible, which means separating the configuration from the code as much as possible, of course. Resolving of custom attribute through a custom URLHandler

Hi I have a custom attribute defined in my DITA customization called 'varref'. Whenever an element has this attribute set the content of this element needs to be looked up in another document and inserted (like a conref in DITA). For conref resolving I'm using a custom URLHandler. Is there a way to do resolving of my custom attribute (like conref resolving) through the oXygen api? Adding listener to a certain attribute

Hi everybody, I am happy to announce version 14.2 of oXygen XML Editor (and the corresponding Author Component Startup Project) is available from our website: http://www.oxygenxml.com A list of the new features can be found here: http://www.oxygenxml.com/index.html#new-version Here is the list of additional supported CSS extensions: http://www.oxygenxml.com/index.html#14.2Author_CSS_Extensions I consider the support for the @font-face CSS rule the most important one. It allows a developer for a certain document type/framework to distribute together with the CSS special true-type fonts which are dynamically loaded and used to render the XML in the Author mode. As usual we added lots of useful API: http://www.oxygenxml.com/index.html#14.2Extended_API I think that the major three API improvements are these ones: 1) Multiple Edit Modes (Text/Grid/Author) using the Author Component API This new API allows creation of Author Component editors having more than one editing mode. The Author Component Sample Project and online demos have been updated to create a component with Text and Author modes. 2) Using Workspace Access Plugins with the Author Component Added the possibility to use Workspace Access plugins with the Author Component. In this way, Workspace Access plugins which have already been created to work with the standalone editor (like the Acrolinx plugin) will work unchanged with the Author Component. 3) Identify the Context in Which a Browse CMS Operation is Invoked Every CMS integration plugin adds a special Browse CMS action using our API in all places where an URL can be chosen (dialogs for inserting images, references or content references). The new API added to the InputURLChooser interface allows the developer to know from which type of dialog the Browse CMS action gets called. Question about making a custom InputURLChooser

Hi I'm working on a custom InputURLChooser. When I click for example the insert image button I can see my custom url chooser in the list. But when I call the getResourceFilters() method I get back an empty array. >From this point of view my custom chooser doesn't know if it needs to filter for images/topics/... Is there any way to know where my custom chooser is called from (insert content reference, insert image, web link, cross reference...)? So I can make my chooser smart enough. Hi, When Oxygen itself wants to retrieve the content of a certain resource, referenced in an XML file being opened (case 2.1/2.2/2.3 below), is there somewhere a reference to this 'parent' XML file we can access? Because we need some information (e.g. language) from that XML file. There is an useful callback in the WSEditorChangedListener: > WSEditorChangeListener().editorAboutToBeOpenedVeto(URL) which notifies you before Oxygen will request content for a certain URL in order to open it for editing. After this callback, Oxygen will call your custom protocol handler and request the content for that URL. 2) Oxygen itself wants to retrieve the content of a certain resource for an indirect reason: 2.1) Reference to an image. When the opened XML has a reference to an image, Oxygen will create an URL for the image reference and will ask your custom protocol handler for content. 2.2) Content reference, kind the same as for image, Oxygen will need to parse the target topic and retrieve content from the target element in order to show it in-place in the Author mode. 2.3) In Oxygen 14.2 xref's which point to topics will also display the title of the referenced topic in-place (somehow like a conref). So Oxygen will also request the content of the referenced topic in order to retrieve the target title text. Hope this helps.
