Hi Alex, Here is the use case scenario I am targeting: In the CSS, I have *[class~="topic/image"][href]{ content:oxy_url('${frameworkDir}', '../../../../../', 'app/main/core/sfdc/htdocs/img/', attr(href)); } Here, the built-in variable "frameworkDir" works fine. The above path is valid when the file is in the "main" branch. When the input xml file is in another branch (say "/patch/21"), I would like to change the "app/main/core...." to "app/patch/21/core...". My first idea was to have a custom variable defined (say $BRANCH) which would be set to "/main" by default and could be reset to "/patch/21" by the user when they change the branch. However, while the built-in variable was accepted, the custom variable is not accepted here. Also, with respect to creating pseudo classes, it would be a maintenance issue since I would need to put in every release number (since theoretically XML files from any release could be opened) in the CSS and also the CSS would need to be updated after every release. Could you provide some alternatives? Thanks, Nathan

Non-Maven version of the plugin SDK?

Is it possible to get a non-Maven version of the oXygen SDK for developing plugins for the standalone version of oXygen? That is a version of the SDK similar to that produced for the 15.x series of oXygen. Although Maven is a popular technology, we prefer not to use it, as it does not fit in with our development tools and practices. Problem with using the "defaultFrameworkSources" dependency

Hi I was trying to upgrade my project to use the new Maven repository. In one of my projects I used to have a dependency to "dita.jar" by referencing it as a system type. Now I've changed the dependency in my pom.xml as followed. <dependency> <groupId>com.oxygenxml</groupId> <artifactId>oxygen</artifactId> <classifier>defaultFrameworksSources</classifier> <type>jar</type> <version>16.0.0</version> </dependency> In my code I'm extending from the DITAConrefResolver class. package sdl.trisoft.framework.dita; import ro.sync.ecss.extensions.dita.conref.DITAConRefResolver; ... public class TrisoftDITAContentResolver extends DITAConRefResolver { ... } When using a reference to the old dita.jar this worked without problems. After changing the dependency to use the online one I was getting compilation errors. Hi everybody, I am happy to announce that a new major release of oXygen XML Editor, version 16 is available from our website: http://www.oxygenxml.com As an important change, starting with this version, we decided to offer our SDK as a public Maven repository. It is easier now to create a startup project by using the oxygen-sdk-samples-archetype, directly from your IDE of choice. In this Maven project you will find sample modules for: - Implementing XML framework extensions - Sample plugins for the oXygen standalone distribution - Usage of the Author Component as an applet - Usage of the Author as a WebApp with HTML5 frontend Please register and read on our website how to create a startup project from the command line or from the Eclipse IDE: http://www.oxygenxml.com/oxygen_sdk_maven.html So please give us your opinion on this change. Our Maven repository also has early access to the "XML Author WebApp", a 100% XHTML5+Javascript based solution for in-browser reviewing of XML content either on mobile or on desktop devices. Hi, Whenever I try to insert a symbol using the symbol toolbar, I get the following error which I am not able to debug: System ID: /Users/xxxxxxx/.../dev_guides/ajax/sforce_api_ajax_debug_shell.xml Severity: error Description: :Paste failed due to: Index: 0, Size: 0 Could someone point me in the right direction on what is happening here? I did create a new class by extending the AuthorExtensionStateListener and implemented the inserText and inserFragment methods which work fine. Thanks in advance, Nathan

Custom editor variables in CSS

Hi, I might be wrong here but I am finding that custom variables defined in preferences cannot be used in the CSS (editor variables are fine). If this is true, is there any way to use custom variables in the CSS? We have a case where a person might need to select images in different branches of a version control system and I need to change CSS display based on the branch selected. Regards, Nathan

Setting attribute values for topicref

Hi, I am using the Ditamap framework and I would like to set default values for the "type" and "scope" attribute using the Action ID "insert.topicref". However, this action does not seem to be accepting any arguments. Is there a reason for this? Thanks, Nathan

Thanks Alex, I think we are good with the format attribute. With respect to my second part of the mail, is there any way to add defaulted "scope" and "type" attribute values to the xref when they are dragged-and-dropped from the project/ditamaps manager pane? Can this be done using the Author SDK? Regards, Nathan
