Project Switching Is Cool

I just wanted to mention how valuable the ability to quickly switch projects is. I find myself constantly switching between projects, often over the course of minutes as I bounce between tasks, conversations, etc. Being able to quickly switch between projects with all the project state remembered and restored is really valuable. XProc validation bug

Hi, Are you sure editor variables are being expanded in Oxygen 15.2? I used the $framework editor variable in the ant path and I get the following in the console output: "*${frameworkDir}*/../../../../tools/jdk/bin/java" -Xmx256m -classpath " *${frameworkDir}*/../../../../tools/ant/apache-ant-1.7.1/lib/ant-launcher.jar" "-Dant.home=$*{frameworkDir}*/../../../../tools/ant/apache-ant-1.7.1" org.apache.tools.ant.launch.Launcher -f "C:/dev/doc/shared/Oxygen/dita/../../../main/core/build/build.xml" doc.syncall_nowebdev conditionally_build_doc "-Dwebhelp.trial.license=no" -Dsfdc.build.types=PDF As you can see above, the ${frameworkDir} does not seem to have expanded. I used the entire path and it works fine. I verified that the path is correct for the ant jar above. Am I doing anything wrong here? Thanks a bunch, Nathan

Hi, I was wondering if it be possible to avoid showing an element when the auto-suggest suggests an element for insertion at a particular location. I am planning this to avoid usage of a few elements like "unknown" etc. I understand that I can use CSS to hide elements in the Author view, but I would not like to show these elements in the element auto suggest even if it is valid. Feature Request: Variables for Path Components When Building Result Locations in Scenarios

I find myself doing a lot of scenarios where I'm generating new copies of existing files or transforming files from one schema to another. In that case, I often need to output the files into a directory structure that reflects the input file's structure, e.g., the same parent and grandparent but under a different greatgrandparent. I haven't seen a way to do this statically in setting up the output location in a transformation scenario. I can get the input file's path, it's name, and so on, but not just it's parent's or grandparent's folder name. I'm thinking that what I'd really like is the ability to get any component of the input file's path so that I can then construct the result path, something like: ../../../newdir/${parent:3}/${parent:2}/${parent:1}/$cfn-newbit.xml Where the tokens are addressed from nearest (parent) to farthest, as for the ancestor:: axis. If I had that I could have single transform scenarios I could apply to large sets of files in different structures and get the required result without having to rejigger the transform scenario for each different output location. JAVA_HOME and ANT_HOME in transformation scenario

Hi, I am creating a custom default file with a requirement of running the transformation scenarios against a specific ANT and JDK version which is distributed via source control. I see that there is a custom ANT and JAVA option in the ANT scenario option (Preferences > Document Type Association > {Selected Framework} > Transformation > ANT Transformation >Options). However, this custom options does not seems to be taking in editor variables or relative paths. Could you please let me know how I could set an ANT transformation using non-fixed paths? Thanks! Hi, Please disregard my earlier question. I had mistakenly placed another association with a higher priority which was overriding the one for the ditamap causing the problem. I have fixed it since. Thanks and sorry for the trouble, Nathan

Cannot seem to get the "Open Maps in editor with resolved topic" working

Hi, I am developing a framework which is extending the existing DITA framework. The new framework is distributed via our source control and so it needs to be pointed to via the "Preferences > Document Type Association > Location > Custom". I am finding that when I open a ditamap using this extended framework (and yes, the correct associations have been made in the "Association rules"), I cannot seem to get the "Open Maps in editor with resolved topic" option working. I have checked that the file is not locked and that I am able to do other operations (like create reusable content etc). What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Nathan

Using the existing Lucene index

Hi, I am not sure if this should go in the SDK mailing list or in this one, so I thought I would start here. I was wondering if there is a way to find out what all are indexed by the Lucene indexing operation when using Open/Find Resource? Where am I going with this? I am trying to build some customizations which would: - Find out all the ditamaps that the active document is being used in - I understand I can walk down the ditamap tree and find this out but if anything in this regard is already stored in the index, I would be very interested in getting it from there - Find all references and conrefs which are pointing to a particular selection (this is more so for inline conrefs rather than conreffed file) - I did read somewhere that this is not being indexed, but I thought it better to ask. If there is any existing way to do any of the operations above, I am would be really eager to know. Thanks, Nathan
