Built-in Feature to Break Out Nested Topics?

I sometimes have the need to make nested topics into separate topic documents. I see that there is a "create reusable component" option in the DITA menu but I didn't find a corresponding "create topic document" option. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, Oxygen disallows pasting a new root element over an existing one, so I can't just create a new topic from a template then cut and paste the nested topic over the one in the template document. Importing web directory using eclipse plugin

Good Evening, Say I have an HTML project hosted here [1], and I wish to begin a fresh authoring project, therefore I need to begin working with existing code within the project structure. Does the Eclipse plugin allow me to fetch this code and begin working on it as an XML project? I haven't been able to get this functionality from the plugin, hopefully I am missing something. The other option, is to download it, but when I do this, then manually import it, I am not able to render the HTML through the eclipse browser. Thanks for any information to help me out. Smart Pasting from Word

I finally got a chance to try this feature--very nice. However, in my case, I have text that uses List Number paragraphs but when pasted they come into Oxygen as <p> elements with literal numbers, not as ordered lists (this is with DITA as the target). Is there a way to control this? I assume it's a function of how Word is constructing what it puts on the clipboard. Flattening XSD schemas using oXygen

I have been impressed by oXygen's XSD schema 'Design' mode, which seamlessly expands the DITA 1.1 topic.xsd definition (contained in a copy of the official DITA xsd directory). However, when I attempt to use oXygen(12.1)'s 'Text' mode contextual schema flattening mechanism, it reports 'failed: unknown protocol: urn'. It appears that the Design mode can handle the 'urn' references, whereas the Text mode cannot. This I find surprising. It maybe that the Design mode has found the 'catalog.xml' file that is provided in the same directory as the 'topic.xsd' file (or it is somehow using oXygen's own catalog files to resolve the definitions using internal resources). Hopefully I have missed something obvious. Any suggestions of a way forward welcome. Best regards, Anthony. docbook to epub: css, namespaces, etc

Hi, I'm trying to use Oxygen to make docbook transform to epub. I am still trying to understand what is going on. I created a simple dummy.xml with a sample customization layer. rj.xsl The customization layer only has three lines: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:d="http://docbook.org/ns/docbook" xmlns:date="http://exslt.org/dates-and-times" xmlns:saxon="http://icl.com/saxon" exclude-result-prefixes="d date saxon" version="1.0"> <xsl:param name="chapter.autolabel" select="0"/> <xsl:param name="html.stylesheet">testing.css</xsl:param> To make it work in Oxygen, I cloned and edited the epub scenario, and add a parameter using the parameters tab of the Edit Ant Scenario dialog. name = rjxsl value = ${pd}/oxygen-test.xsl But when I run it, it produces an epub file and the html code doesn't seem to reflect the css reference or chapter.autolabel parameter. This is strange because the build.xml file seems to reference the rj.xsl file path correctly. Two other things. I would expect that the testing.css (which is located in the project directory) to be copied to the appropriate output directory. But I do not see it copied there (although the image(s) are copied successfully there). Also, the css is not listed in the content.opf file. Please note that the db2epub.py seems to process the same project correctly. Also, when I inspect the html files in the out directory, I see this message in the head: <meta name="generator" content="DocBook XSL-NS Stylesheets V1.76.1"/> My understanding is that there are incompatibilities between the DocBook XSL-NS stylesheets and the epub transformation. I've been warned by Keith Fahlgren not to use the XSL-NS stylesheets. This fact was alluded to in a recent thread about the epub3 beta stylesheets, but my understanding is that this applies both to the epub3 beta and the current epub. Good Afternoon, I'm currently working on a project which requires us to develop, update, author and publish XML based data for production use. I'm wondering whether oXygenXML supports the import of entire directory structures such as the following. As time is at a premium I'm trying to focus on the core business process here which is updating an older html project and validating it against some new schemas we have developed rather than wasting resources and time manually importing literally hundreds of individual files. Thanks in advance for any pointers.
