default validation engine affected by xml-model processing instruction?

I have some XML instances that I would like to validate against both a Relax NG schema and an XSD (for testing a re-engineering from XSD to Relax NG). I want to use the Saxon EE engine for the XSD, as the XSD schema is not valid according to Xerces (which is part of the motivation to switch to Relax NG), but gets through Saxon with some warnings. I have set the preferences to use Saxon as the default engine, and this works fine for batch validation ... until I include the xml-model processing instruction for the Relax NG schema in the instances. Then the XSD validation reverts to Xerces resulting in failure. I am using Oxygen 12.2. Is this a known bug? Has it been fixed in Oxygen 13 (this might give me the motivation to upgrade). Can't start oXygen XML 12.2 on Mac with new Java VM

Hi there, Starting today, I can't start my oXygen XML editor anymore. This is on a Mac 10.6.8 with all the latest patches installed (this includes a recent update to the Java VM). I have tried it with oXygen 12.2 and a few earlier versions (for the time being I am stuck on the 12 version), but the result is always the same (error message included below). It has really interesting sessions, lots a people to meet, a focus on practical aspects and technology. Support for jar: URNs?

I'm trying to set up an entity resolution catalog that resolves to files in a jar file. I can get it to work as expected if the URL to the jar is absolute, e.g.: <uri name="rsuite:/res/plugin/dita4publishers/net.sourceforge.dita4publishers.com mon.xslt/xsl/lib/relpath_util.xsl" uri="jar:file:///Users/ekimber/workspace/rsuite-dita-support-quickfix/java/l ib/dita4publishers-rsuite-plugin.jar!..."/> However, a relative URL (relative to the catalog), does not work. Is it possible for Oxygen to make a relative URL part of a jar: URN resolve relative to the catalog? This is to support development of XSLTs that import modules that, when deployed into the RSuite CMS, will be referenced by an RSuite-specific URN. The catalog allows the XSLTs to be developed without having to swap different URNs in and out. I'm trying to set up a system whereby developers can get the jar with the included modules from Ivy and then, by using an invariant catalog, have the inclusions work. I can't think of another way of doing it. oXygen 13.1: Problem with validating a large folder

Just upgraded to oXygen 13.1 (build 2011102511, Mac OS 10.6.8) and I am no longer able to validate (from project view) a folder with approx. 5000 files (~ 200 MB). I'm getting the error message "unable to create native thread" and the hint to increase the memory available to the application. Since in all former oXygen versions 2048m was sufficient oXygen 13.1 seems to have a memory leak here? Has anyone come across this as well? How to disable inserting elements?

Hi, I've got my schema working quite well at the moment. But it can use some more restrictions. For example when my topic already contains a read-more element, it is possible to insert a read-more element before it. I found out that in DITA it is possible to insert a title element before another title element. After inserting the second title element oXygen shows an error message that only one title element is allowed. The same goes for my schema. I cannot insert the same element after an element but can insert it before it, although only one of the same element is allowed. How can I prevent (if it is possible at all) to insert the same element before the same type of element? Open Toolkit Processing Applied to URI-based Resources--How Does It Work?

I haven't had a chance to test this new feature yet, but I'm wondering is it simply a pre-process that accesses all the dependencies and makes a local copy with pointers rewritten as necessary or is it actually modifying the Ant processes to allow direct operation on HTTP-based resources? If the former, what user agent string does Oxygen use when making the HTTP requests? I'm thinking about this in the context of our content management systems (RSuite CMS, DocZone, RSuite Cloud), where currently we have built-in facilities to do map export and then run the Toolkit but where all the resources are URL-accessible and so could be processed directly. However, in most cases, some amount of transformation is required to be applied to the data as it comes out of the repository, either to filter out things like CMS-specific metadata or to rewrite pointers to reflect the location as exported. But we also have a facility for imposing transformations into object access requests, configurable by conditions including the user agent. So, for example, if Oxygen is requesting resources specifically in order to then run the Toolkit on them, given a distinguishing user agent string I could configure transforms to condition the data as it comes out without having implement a completely separate export action. That would be very handy. On the other hand, if it is the Toolkit, not Oxygen that is requesting the resources, that might require different transformation logic, not sure. So really I'm just curious about what's really going on under the covers.
