Format and Indent Problem

Hi, As I have read on previous posts, oXygen classifies mixed content based on the current contents of an element, is this correct? If so, is it possible for oXygen to classify elements based on the declarations made in the DTD or Schema it is associated to? I know that the work around for this is to specify the pattern of elements that you want to preserve the whitespace in the preferences or to manually insert an xml:space="preserve" attributes for these elements, but if an XML is associated with a DTD or a Schema then you can tell whether whitespace in that element is ignorable or not. Currently what I've been doing is for every project I have to specify in the pattern listing all the mixed content elements that are defined in the DTD/Schema so that when I do a pretty print the whitespace is preserved and this method is very troublesome. Is there anymore workaround for this other than the ones I mentioned above? Or can this be considered as an added feature for a future version of the product? Thanks, Jeff

Hi Eliot, The image is actually 9350 X 10288 pixels with 24 bits of depth. Expanded in memory this should occupy at least 288 MBytes (9350 x 10288 x 3 bytes). We opened it with a regular image viewer and this is actually the amount it actually needed to display the image. So Oxygen would need at least 400 MBs for the same image (300 for the image and 100 for the editor itself). Scaling the picture is not actually an easy task to do because the image needs to be loaded fully in memory before scaling it. Big Graphic Causes "Restart with more memory" Loop

I was editing a document of normal size (100K) in Author mode. When I created a reference to a 2.4Meg JPG it got into what appeared to be an infinite loop of "Restart with more memory" messages, in that each time I clicked OK or cancel on the dialog another one popped up. I eventually killed the app. This is definitely a case that needs to be trapped and either the graphic not shown or downsampled to a displayable size. Rename Element Does Not Trigger Format Update

In Author mode, if I do a "rename element" action on an element with specific formatting to an element with different formatting, the formatting is not updated to reflect the new element type. For example, in a DITA doc, changing <b> to <cite> the text is still shown as bold. If I go to text mode and come back to author mode the formatting is of course reflected correctly. I can open a repository connection and see the url appear in the repository pane, but can no longer browse the repository or commit. The error I get is malformed network data. There is no other useful information that I can find. we are running svn 1.4.4 on linux 4 using java 1.6.0.3_02 I have the problem both with the 2.6 and 3.0 versions of synchro Jeff Gaer

Poll question about file type associations in the Windows installer

Hello everyone, We try to get some opinions from oXygen users on the topic of file type associations with the oXygen application in the Windows installer. Currently in the Windows installer of oXygen the file associations are enabled by default (the checkboxes are checked by default in the Select File Associations panel). For example an .xml file is opened with oXygen automatically on double clicking the file in Windows Explorer which is exactly what the association should do. But due to the way file associations work in Windows an XML file cannot be opened in the Internet Explorer browser any more as an XML file, that is instead of opening and parsing the XML file (and halting the parse on a parse error) and displaying it in colors the file open operation is delegated to the application associated with that file type, which is oXygen in our case. Ant Setup for Generating Schema Documentation?

Has anyone done the work to use Ant to run the Oxygen XSD schema generator? I'm looking at the script provided with Oxygen and it's just complicated enough that I thought I see if anyone else had replicated it in Ant. I'm scripting the generation of docs for a number of doctypes at once.
