oXygen 13.1: Problem with validating a large folder

Just upgraded to oXygen 13.1 (build 2011102511, Mac OS 10.6.8) and I am no longer able to validate (from project view) a folder with approx. 5000 files (~ 200 MB). I'm getting the error message "unable to create native thread" and the hint to increase the memory available to the application. Since in all former oXygen versions 2048m was sufficient oXygen 13.1 seems to have a memory leak here? Has anyone come across this as well? How to disable inserting elements?

Hi, I've got my schema working quite well at the moment. But it can use some more restrictions. For example when my topic already contains a read-more element, it is possible to insert a read-more element before it. I found out that in DITA it is possible to insert a title element before another title element. After inserting the second title element oXygen shows an error message that only one title element is allowed. The same goes for my schema. I cannot insert the same element after an element but can insert it before it, although only one of the same element is allowed. How can I prevent (if it is possible at all) to insert the same element before the same type of element? Open Toolkit Processing Applied to URI-based Resources--How Does It Work?

I haven't had a chance to test this new feature yet, but I'm wondering is it simply a pre-process that accesses all the dependencies and makes a local copy with pointers rewritten as necessary or is it actually modifying the Ant processes to allow direct operation on HTTP-based resources? If the former, what user agent string does Oxygen use when making the HTTP requests? I'm thinking about this in the context of our content management systems (RSuite CMS, DocZone, RSuite Cloud), where currently we have built-in facilities to do map export and then run the Toolkit but where all the resources are URL-accessible and so could be processed directly. However, in most cases, some amount of transformation is required to be applied to the data as it comes out of the repository, either to filter out things like CMS-specific metadata or to rewrite pointers to reflect the location as exported. But we also have a facility for imposing transformations into object access requests, configurable by conditions including the user agent. So, for example, if Oxygen is requesting resources specifically in order to then run the Toolkit on them, given a distinguishing user agent string I could configure transforms to condition the data as it comes out without having implement a completely separate export action. That would be very handy. On the other hand, if it is the Toolkit, not Oxygen that is requesting the resources, that might require different transformation logic, not sure. So really I'm just curious about what's really going on under the covers. Built-in Feature to Break Out Nested Topics?

I sometimes have the need to make nested topics into separate topic documents. I see that there is a "create reusable component" option in the DITA menu but I didn't find a corresponding "create topic document" option. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, Oxygen disallows pasting a new root element over an existing one, so I can't just create a new topic from a template then cut and paste the nested topic over the one in the template document. Importing web directory using eclipse plugin

Good Evening, Say I have an HTML project hosted here [1], and I wish to begin a fresh authoring project, therefore I need to begin working with existing code within the project structure. Does the Eclipse plugin allow me to fetch this code and begin working on it as an XML project? I haven't been able to get this functionality from the plugin, hopefully I am missing something. The other option, is to download it, but when I do this, then manually import it, I am not able to render the HTML through the eclipse browser. Thanks for any information to help me out. For example, if the dialog is used to select an image to be added to the Author page, then the resource filters contain image extensions. Other ------------------------- * Safe Save <oXygen/> saves now by default in a temporary file and when the save completes it copies the content from the temporary file to the target file. A statistical approach is now used to filter out "unreasonable" indent sizes. * Specify the File Types for Automatic Spell Checking Now you can decide the content types for which the Automatic Spell Check is active. For instance, you can exclude XSL files. File types in which automatic spell check is usually not useful like CSS and DTD are excluded by default. Smart Pasting from Word

I finally got a chance to try this feature--very nice. However, in my case, I have text that uses List Number paragraphs but when pasted they come into Oxygen as <p> elements with literal numbers, not as ordered lists (this is with DITA as the target). Is there a way to control this? I assume it's a function of how Word is constructing what it puts on the clipboard. Flattening XSD schemas using oXygen

I have been impressed by oXygen's XSD schema 'Design' mode, which seamlessly expands the DITA 1.1 topic.xsd definition (contained in a copy of the official DITA xsd directory). However, when I attempt to use oXygen(12.1)'s 'Text' mode contextual schema flattening mechanism, it reports 'failed: unknown protocol: urn'. It appears that the Design mode can handle the 'urn' references, whereas the Text mode cannot. This I find surprising. It maybe that the Design mode has found the 'catalog.xml' file that is provided in the same directory as the 'topic.xsd' file (or it is somehow using oXygen's own catalog files to resolve the definitions using internal resources). Hopefully I have missed something obvious. Any suggestions of a way forward welcome. Best regards, Anthony.
