Plugin Failure at Startup When Used In Previous Editing Session

I have my plugin minimally working now but I'm running into a problem. If I edit a file using my plug-in and, with that file still open in the editor, close Oxygen, then when I open Oxygen again, I get a "Plugins-Errors" message box from Oxygen indicating an InvocationTargetException on my plug in class and these messages in the log: 1 WARN [ main ] ro.sync.G.W - Invalid field : systemID for class ro.sync.exml.I.B.A. ro.sync.G.B: Invalid serialized URL : rsuite:/.manageable-objects/6 1 WARN [ main ] ro.sync.G.W - Skip invalid object ro.sync.G.D: Missing system ID in the mark location. 1362 WARN [ main ] ro.sync.G.W - Invalid field : defaultScenario for class ro.sync.exml.I._.B.U. java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space 4270 DEBUG [ main ] com.reallysi.rsuite.client.oxygen.RSuiteUriProtocolPlugin - in getURLSTreamHandlder(), returning new RSuiteUriProtocolHandler(): 13297080 And then a lot of these: 10967 DEBUG [ main ] com.reallysi.rsuite.client.oxygen.RSuitePlugin - In RSuitePlugin constructor 10968 ERROR [ main ] com.reallysi.rsuite.client.oxygen.RSuitePlugin - instance member variable is not null, throwing IllegalStateException But I'm not getting any messages from any other components of my plug-in so I'm not sure what I should be doing to prevent this failure. Javadoc for extensions API?

Hello, is there some API reference for ro.sync.ecss.extensions.api.AuthorOperation and related classes available? Chapter 6 of the users manual is nice, but not enough and the OxygenPluginsDevelopmentKit.zip does not contain the "authors extensions". Thanks Martin

Batch editing of files?

Vista Crash

My old XP system needed upgrading - basically because Oxygen was very slow. Yesterday I bought a new desktop computer with 3 Gigabytes of memory and was looking forward to fast transformations |-)! I installed Oxygen and everything looked great. I tried running a transformation that takes 2 seconds on my old XP with 512 megabytes of memory and the transformation took 5 minutes. I tried it again and got a message saying to increate the "-Xmx" in Oxygen.bat. I increased it from 256m to 512m then to 1g and am still having the same problem. I couldn't find any information on the archives. Anyone have any advice on solving this problem. TIA! Protocol Handler Plugin

I seem to have my protocol handler working so that I can now open and save (commit) files back to the RSuite repository. A couple of feature requests that would make things a little cleaner/more complete: - The ability to set the read-only flag on the file, either on open or following a save. In my case, one can commit a file and release the lock on the file. But the file is still open in the editor so it needs to be set to read-only since the user cannot at that point save it back to the repository. - A way to silently cancel the save or otherwise provide a non-failure message. In my case, on save the user has to provide some check-in information (message, etc.) and can cancel the check-in at the point. All I can see to do is throw an IOException in that case, which results in a "Cannot save" message box, rather than either a "Save canceled" or just silence (either would be OK in this case). - A call on close so that I can, for example, give the user the opportunity to do a final commit or change the lock status or whatever. This is scenario where users might be saving to a temp location as they work and then want to save to the final location on close. Alternatively, a way to add my own save menu items, e.g., "save as new version", "commit and release lock", etc. I can provide these choices during save but users would expect those options on the File menu. It would also be useful to be able to get access to Oxygen-specific properties of the file, such as its validation status, so that I can prevent commit of invalid or non-well-formed docs. I'd also like to know if there is some way one can assign the current file to a "for" variable to output it... I'd like the XQuery to be able to identify from which file it has gotten each result as it outputs the results... Brett

Can't bind attribute

File opening

Hi, After testing Oxygen, I've decided to purchase, but there is one bug which is very annoying. It seems that Oxygen doesn't exactly remember the last file folder I opened, and this can be problematic when I presume the file names showing up are the most recent ones (rather than some old backup folder I had accessed a while ago). thanks, Brett
