Hi, Problably I didn't see it, but there is no way for me to select a bunch of XML file and add them to generate a schema The only way is too select the file one by one which is tedious Any idea of how to circumvent that ? Xmlizer

Embedding fonts in Oxygen for FOP

I am trying to embed a font containing Czech glyphs. Following Oxygen's instructions to embed a font in FOP for pdf output: On my Windows Vista system, with Apache FOP 0.95 and Oxygen 10.1, when I run ttfConvert.bat (see below), I get the error: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/fop/fonts/apps/TTFReader Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.fop.fonts.apps.TTFReader. When I look in that directory, there is an html file with that name, but no Java file. I do note at the head of the Oxygen document, it says for the built in FOP, but there is no org.apache... sub directory under oxygen Can you help? Relax NG Pluggable Datatype Libraries

Hi, I'm trying to add XHTML5 support to oXygen XML editor (Eclipse plugin) using the Relax NG schema files from validator.nu[1]. However, parsing the RNC files fails because of the Datatype Library with the "http://whattf.org/datatype-draft" namespace: > datatype library "http://whattf.org/datatype-draft" not recognized | html5/web-forms.rnc Validator.nu provides a Pluggable Datatype Library[2][3] for that namespace. I've copied it in the ${oxygenHome}/lib/ directory and even added it to the XHTML5 classpath in the Document Type Association preferences. However, it doesn't solve the issue. I don't know if it's a problem with the .jar, the service for org.relaxng.datatype.DatatypeLibraryFactory or something else and I don't know what to do to make it works. Is it possible, when doing a DITA OT transform, to specify ant parameters?

I like to use ant's XmlLogger as a logger for my ant builds. I think that's the last piece keeping me from really utilizing the DITA OT transforms from within oXygen, now that I can specify my own ant home. I still don't see any way to specify ant parameters as part of the scenario, though, only JVM args. What I'd like to see is a text box, just like the one for JVM args, for ant params, so I could add "-logger org.apache.tools.ant.XmlLogger -logfile buildlog.xml" to my ant command. Is there a way to do that already and I'm missing it? Steve ps - I don't post often, but I use oXygen every day. It is, really, one of the best tools I have ever used. The rate that you add new features and functionality is astounding, and, often, it seems like you are reading my mind. When I run into a problem and I think, "I wish oXygen could do this ...." it often already does, or the feature gets added in the next point release. If y'all have a blog where I can donate to a "Buy the developers a beer" tip jar, send it on to me, I owe you.

docbook 5 + entities + doctype +xincludes?

First, thank you very much for your helpful reply over the last few days. It has really helped me. I'm trying to figure out how to insert character entities in docbook 5. Reading the docbook 5 documentation , I learned that you still need to indicate a doctype to validate: http://www.docbook.org/docs/howto/#faq-authoring-general-entities After I added the example entity set, <!DOCTYPE article [ <!ENTITY % isopub SYSTEM "http://www.w3.org/2003/entities/iso8879/isopub.ent"> %isopub; ]> things worked a-ok in oxygen. Here's my question. My oxygen editor validated successfully only if I have a doctype declaration at the top of every xml document referenced by the xincludes in addition to the main document. That doesn't make sense. That means I need to have 10 (or 100 or 200) instances of boilerplate code at the top of the doc. If I put the doctype element only once in the main index file (the file with the references to the xincludes), shouldn't the validator be aware of the entity file after it was declared at the top of the main index file? Or is this something quirky about the validation engine which is requiring each file to have a doctype element? Finally, I'm not sure I understand the syntax of the doctype element. (need to do some research). This reference goes to a public document, not to something local which I can maintain. If I added this to the catalog under the framework/docbook5 directory, <system systemId="http://www.w3.org/2003/entities/iso8879/isopub.ent" uri="isopub.ent"/> would this be sufficient? This would mainly be a concern if I wanted to add to my list of entities over time (or reference different entity sets). How would this be done? xml:id + docbook5 validation problems

I've noticed some inconsistencies in the way Oxygen validates a chapter element in an xinclude file when you add xml:id= I have . I'm trying to add xml:id to chapters so I can change the output html with the use.id.as.filename parameter. I'm using xincludes with each separate xinclude file containing a chapter. I'm getting a weird error message when validating in Oxygen. SystemID: I:\My Documents\xml\rj3\er1.xml Engine name: oNVDL Severity: error Description: bad value for attribute "id" from namespace "http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace" Start location: 2:80 ******************************* here is what I have in the er1.xml file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <chapter xmlns="http://docbook.org/ns/docbook" version="5.0" xml:id="99er1"> <title xml:id="firstdd">Notion #1</title> <para xml:id="blah">ddddd</para> <para>Designed by Gustave Eiffel in 1889,<parameter ></parameter> The Eiffel Tower is one of the most widely recognized buildings in the world. </para> </chapter> Ok, now for the freaky part. If I remove xml:id attribute, rename the chapter element to sect1 and insert xml:id again, it validates just fine. I've tried it several times and can duplicate it each time on my machine. I've tried the Reset Cache and Validate option each time. Any idea if this is an Oxygen/validator bug or if there is something peculiar to xinclude syntax which I am overlooking? Any reason why this corrects the problem? By the way, sometimes it can be difficult to tell whether a problem is an application-specific problem or a docbook/xsl problem. Thanks.
