Are any of the validators available within oXygen equivalent to JAXB validation? In particular, I want to validate in oXygen in order to guarantee that the schema will validate in JAXB. Thanks, Tara

XProject plugin for oXygen

Hi, I have just release a new plugin for the oXygen XML IDE, in order to support XProject, the XML Project Manager tool. More infos on the XProject page at http://expath.org/modules/xproject/. XProject (loosly) defines a directory structure for an XML project: my-project/ src/ ... xproject/ project.xml The subdir src/ has whatever structure you want for your XML files, XSLT stylesheets, XQuery modules, XProc pipelines, resource files, and everything that is part of your project. The subdir xproject/ contains meta informations about your project. E.g. project.xml contains its name and version number, as well as several processors configuration for unit-testing purposes. Based on conventions for the components filename (i.e. *.xsl for stylesheets, *.xql for XQuery library modules, *.xq, *.xqy or *.xquery for XQuery main modules, etc.) it detects them in src/, and based on annotations in those files, it generates automatically a package descriptor and create the package for you. You can also generate a "delivery file" that contains the package, a README file, examples and source code. Or automatically launch unit- tests using XSpec. Or generate documentation for your XQuery modules using xquerydoc. Every dependency is already included in the plugin. To install, download the file xproject-oxygen-plugin-0.3.0.zip from: http://code.google.com/p/expath-pkg/downloads/list and unzip it in your oXygen install dir, in the subdir plugins/ (or copy the dir xproject/ which is at the root of the ZIP file into <your-oxygen>/plugins/). The next time you start oXygen, you will have 4 more buttons in the toolbar, named "Build", "Test", "Doc" and "Release". While editing any file within your project directory, you can click one of those buttons to execute the corresponding XProject target. "Build" creates a new package in dist/ based on src/, "Test" run the XSpec tests in test/ and place the reports in the same dir (see the sample project in the ZIP to see how to configure your processors and XML databases to run the tests), "Doc" places the XQuery documentation in dist/xqdoc/, and "Release" creates a new delivery file in dist/. The packages created by "Build" can be installed automatically in any EXPath Packaging System-compliant system. Any feedback, help, request for improvement is welcome! In particular, I would like to know how I can help a user creating a new project from within oXygen (e.g. by displaying a form to fill in the basic info like its name, version, etc. and create the project structure, and possibly by creating an Author mode for the project.xml files). List of Keys in @keyref attribute in Attributes panel: nice

Just noticed that if you click in the @keyref attribute in the Attributes panel it gives you a list of available keys. Very nice. It's exactly what it should do but I had never tried it and wouldn't have been surprised if it hadn't been there (at least in some other editor). I did it because there's no direct way that I found to create a key reference to a graphic from the tool bar (that is, there's no insert graphic key reference analogous to create content key reference or just create key reference). I now use keys for all graphic references so I can easily use conditional processing to choose between vector for PDF and raster for HTML. Recusrive COUNT of specific elements in XSL 2.0

Hi, One requirement is for me to count instances of images within a corpus of documents, therefore I need to get the # of images per document. I'm trying to do <TotalImages value="I wish to copy the result of the below xsl:value-of here"> <xsl:value-of select="count(SOMETHING[.])"/> </TotalImages> I know that XSLT 2.0 counts in sequences, therefore I'm hoping that at least my [.] is correct. As the image elements are scattered throughout the DOM structure so using XPath predicates is not how I wish to do this. Failure to identify missing xsl:choose element

John: The parser is giving you the correct error. An <xsl:when> must be inside an <xsl:choose>. If you only have one choice then you will want to use <xsl:if>. You can use <xsl:choose> with the following structure: <xsl:choose> <xsl:when test="...">...</xsl:when> <xsl:otherwise/> </xsl:choose> Good luck! DocumentTypeCustomRuleMatcher that depends on document child element

Hi, I'd like to switch document type depending on an xpath. I thought DocumentTypeCustomRuleMatcher would do it, but it seems it doesn't because it only has 5 parameters (which i don't care about) in matches method. My documents look like this : <doc> <status/> <content>  </content> </doc> I want to apply different css, schema, toolbar depending on the 'proced' or 'desc' element, is it possible? I can't change my document structure because it's normalized. Thanks for all. Benoît.
