This is useful for reviewing a set of documents. SimilarContent-Select folders or files in the Project view, then choose a list of elements to check for similarity. This is useful for finding possible elements that can be reused instead of being copy-pasted between documents. Read Aloud-Selectcontent in the current document and use the Play button to listen to how it is read by the operating system's narrator. This is useful for those who want to review content by listening to it. Tips-View a list of editing tips tuned for technical writers. [ANN] Version 3.0.0 of the Oxygen Git Client add-on has been released!

Hi everyone, We are excited to announce the release of the Oxygen Git Client add-on version 3.0.0! Our developing team spent great efforts to further expand the add-on's functionality with the addition of these following improvements: 1. You can save the uncommitted changes into stashes, reapply or delete the stashed changes. 2. You can create new tags from the Git History contextual menu. In the Git Staging toolbar, there is an action to list all the tags. Tags from the local repository can be deleted or pushed to the remote repository. 3. Added a Merge "SELECTED_BRANCH" into "CURRENT_BRANCH" action in the contextual menu for local branches in Git Branch Manager. 4. When showing the history for a directory in the affected files section, the files that are descendants of the directory are presented on top and the files that are outside it are grayed out. 5. Added a Revert commit action in the contextual menu for commits from the Git History view. It creates a new commit that reverts all the changes from the selected commit. 6. Added a Reset file to this commit action to the contextual menu for resources associated to a revision in the Git History view. It checks out the selected version of the file. 7. Added an Open working copy version action to the contextual menu for resources associated to a revision in the Git History view. 8. A warning message is now displayed when trying to use the Mark as resolved action on a file that contains conflict markers. 9. A message prompt is now displayed if you try to switch the branch while there are uncommitted changes so that you can confirm that you want to stash the changes or move the changes to the new branch. 10. A new editor variable is now supported: ${git(working_copy_url)}. It is resolved to the URL of the current working copy directory. 11. When hovering the cursor over the Pull and Push buttons, the displayed tooltip now shows information about some of the incoming/outgoing commits (such as the date, author and message). 12. When hovering the cursor over a branch name, a tooltip is displayed that provides information about the last commit performed on that branch (such as the author and the date of the commit). 13. An information message that is shown when starting Oxygen while being on a detached HEAD now presents more information about the checked-out commit (ID, author, date, message). 14. The add-on's minimum compatible Oxygen version was increased to version 22.1. 15. The highlight boxes that surround branches and tags are now styled differently so that it is easier to identify which represents a branch and which represents is a tag. 16. The settings in the Git client preferences page can be saved at project level. The project can then be shared with other users and everyone will have the same Git client settings. 17. Fixed an issue that caused the commit details to be incorrectly displayed when a filter text was active in the History view. Major issue with this app and multi stand-alone windows

I have been struggling with this for years. When you drag any document into a new window, dialogs and menu options are no longer available. For example, if I drag an Xml document from the main Oxygen window into a new standalone window and then try to use the menu option: DOCUMENT | SCHEMA | GENERATE/CONVERT SCHEMA; is not available. Also, things like the Outline view, the Quick Search, Transformation Scenarios, etc.. all of a sudden are not available for any document that is hosted in a standalone window. It becomes very difficult (to impossible) to use the app when you spread windows across your desktops. Is this a known issue and can this be fixed? I'm a Windows user. Karl Stubsjoen (602) 845-0006

[ANN] Oxygen Translator Helper add-on version 1.1.0 has been released!

Hi everyone, We are excited to let you know that we updated the free Oxygen Translator Helper add-on to version 1.1.0! Starting with this version, the Translator Helper is now enhanced to provide support for translating content to various languages using "DeepL Translator”. To install it you can use the Oxygen main menu "Help->Install new add-ons", choose the default Oxygen add-on update site and you will find an add-on named "Translator Helper" in the list. To update the existing add-on you can use the Oxygen main menu Help->"Check for add-ons updates" action. Just to recap, the add-on has two main features: 1. You can translate content using "Google Translate" or "DeepL" to various languages: * Select the content to translate in the Author visual editing mode. You can also select the entire document contents but the translator might have limitations for the total amount they can translate. * Right click. Select "Translate->Google Translate" or "Translate->DeepL Translator" and choose the target language. * Copy the translated content from the opened web page. * Click Replace in the Oxygen Translate using Google Translate dialog that showed up. The original content should now be replaced with the translated content, the original element structure and attributes should remain unchanged. * In addition you can choose to show the original document content in the Translator Helper side view. This will allow you to correct the translation further by looking at the original text and the translated text side by side. 2. You can see the original content side by side with the content that you are translating, so you can translate correctly and easy by right clicking in the Author visual editing mode and invoking the Show current content in side view action. cant run spell check on my raspberry

I have been having fun running oXygen (v 23.1) on my little Raspberry 400. It takes a while to load from the USB stick, but runs smoothly (despite dire warnings at startup). However, I have hit a problem trying to use the spell checker, since you (obviously) don't ship a Raspbian binary of hunspell. The popup says "Error: could not load Hunspell. The error message was: Unknown OS/arch: linux/arm" Now, back in 2012, when someone reported the exact same problem here (but with reference to Solaris), they were advised to set the "spell checking engine" to "Java spell checker", which looked promising. However, that option is no longer available so far as I can tell, certainly not where Adrian said it was! Any suggestions?

Why can't Oxygen format and indent a 200MB file in 30 minutes whereas SAXON can do it in 15 seconds?

Hi Folks, I have (by today's standards) a medium sized XML file that is 200MB in size. It is unformatted (no indentation). I opened the file in Oxygen and clicked on the format and indent button. After 30 minutes of processing Oxygen gave up with an error message. So I wrote a simple 1-line XSLT program (below) to do the indentation, it took about 15 seconds and was done. Hi group I've got this topic: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE topic PUBLIC "-//OASIS//DTD DITA Topic//EN" "topic.dtd"> <topic id="test"> <title>test</title> <body> <p>See <xref href="#test/fig_nmn_q1s_mqb" format="dita"></xref></p> <fig id="fig_nmn_q1s_mqb"> <title></title> </fig> </body> </topic> When I generate HTML5 output (using OxygenXML Editor version 23.1), all is well: I see "See Figure 1". When I generate the default responsive output, however, I see the ID of the fig displayed, so "See #test/fig_nmn_q1s_mqb". Any idea how this can be fixed? Thanks Yves
