Hi, Mary! When using <xref> in DocBook and you click on chain-link icon or grayed-out identifier you will jump to the target location. It happens not to link the cited text (even though the element itself is EMPTY) so that could probably be a new feature in the DocBook framework. I suggest you check how it is done in the DocBook framework to get clues how to do it in your own framework. I hope this helps! . . . . . . Hi, I'm using Author mode to perform some visual QC on converted documents (JATS DTD). Is there a way to make footnote, table, and figure xrefs live? That is, to turn the xref element content ("Figure 2" in the example below) into a hypertext link that, when clicked, places the cursor at the start of the actual footnote, table, or figure? Make Enable Master Files Default For New Projects

When I create a new project I never don't want master files enabled but I don't yet have any (or know what they might be or want to be bothered identifying them at that moment). I find it annoying to have to respond to the "enable master files" prompt every time. Would be nice if I could set a preference that would make new projects automatically enable master files and go on. A small annoyance I realize, but when I'm creating a new project it's usually in the context of "oh crap, I need to do this new thing Right Now", so these two actions are in the way of me doing what I actually want to do, so the annoyance is multiplied more than it would be if I was creating a project in a calm and considered way, which I never am. Of course, I could be somewhat unique in this aspect due to the nature of the work I do and how I do it (which is to say, I'm always doing a million different things and always starting something new). Testing Subject Schemes

Hi I'm running an elementary Subject Scheme test to learn how to use it later for producing a full taxonomy, followed the simple instructions at http://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/ug-editor/topics/subject-scheme-map.html. However, when using the attribute defined in the subject scheme map, and although auto completion recognizes its defined values; I get the error: Attribute "p-doc" must be declared for element type "p", where "p-doc" is the 'attributedef' name within the 'enumerationdef' element. Subject scheme file validates well and ditamap file references the subject scheme file. The three files are attached. Would appreciate any directions about this. annotation formats in Relax NG

Hi there, I'm looking at <http://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/ug-editor/topics/content-completion-schema-ann…> and I'm wondering, what HTML tags are supported in annotations in Relax NG. This: > The following HTML tags are recognized inside the text content of an XML Schema annotation: p, br, ul, li. They are rendered as in an HTML document loaded in a web browser: p begins a new paragraph, br breaks the current line, ul encloses a list of items, li encloses an item of the list. makes it sound as this is only supported for XML Schema, but at least <br> seems to work for Relax as well. Is anything else supported? (Looking for the ability to include a link, thus <a> in particular...) Best regards, Julian

focus XPath/XQuery Builder view

Hi, Sometimes, having an (XQuery) file open, I'd like to do some experimentation in the XQuery Builder view. You add a couple of lines of code, try it out, etc. Then, I'd like to comment out a line or a selection using Ctrl-Shift-, in this view, but this doesn't work. Apparently, the focus for this type of action remains with the previous file, and suddenly you get a comment where you cursor is in this file (or, if a selection was active, around it). The behaviour is the same on Windows and Mac, latest 16.0, build 2014070913. These commands are listed under the "Document" menu item which is coherent with their behaviour (they apply to documents only, not to "buffers"), but I would argue that commands like this should be applicable in the window or view where the cursor is currently active, and this would be very useful there. Maybe that's not as easy as it sounds because of the Eclipse underpinnings? Could you consider this for a future improvement? cheers, Jakob.

advice on epub scenario customization

I am creating an ebook in epub, MOBI and PDF formats from TEI XML. I want to use the built-in transformation scenario in oxygen to create the epub file. But I want to be able to customize the output too. I have seen that the following files are drawn on in the scenario: /Applications/oxygen/frameworks/tei/xml/tei/stylesheet/tei.css /Applications/oxygen/frameworks/tei/xml/tei/stylesheet/epub/tei-to-epub.xsl /Applications/oxygen/frameworks/tei/xml/tei/stylesheet/profiles/default/epub/to.xsl I’ve tested modifying at least one of them to alter the output, which seemed to work. I’m looking for any advice on other files to modify in the process, or possibly other approaches on generating ebooks from TEI XML. Thanks, Andrew

Applying a Transform Scenario to Just a Directory, Not Its Children

I have written an eXist-db xquery that imports all the files within a directory tree. One of the parameters is the directory to start from. If I apply this to a directory in the project view it appears that the transformation scenario is applied to all the subdirectories. I didn't see a way to turn off this behavior. Is it possible? For use from Oxygen I could modify my query to take a file as input and then import the directory that contains the file, but I was hoping to avoid that small complication. oxy_xpath with xinclude

Hi there, I use oxy_xpath funktion in CSS like this oxy_xpath("string-join(distinct-values(./..//DT/text()),',')") which works very well with an XML like this: <TD> <D> <DT>..</DT> <D> <D> <DT>..</DT> <D> </TD> But if D elements are in XML modules included with XInclude <TD> <xi:include href="d1.xml"/> <xi:include href="d2.xml"/> </TD> No result is found (as expected first). But if I execute XPath in Author mode the results I'm looking for are found. Is there any chance to get this or another oxy_xpath working with xincludes? This oxy_xpath call is the value of "values" property in a popupselection control. So I could implement my own custom control, but I want to avoid this, if possible. Thanks for any hints Markus

Setting saxon:line-length from transformation scenario

(Apologies if this doubles up.) Saxon has two useful variable for output: saxon:line-length and saxon:indent-spaces. These determine the respective output parameters. They can be set as attributes on xsl:output, but I would like to be able to set them in association with the transform scenario. Can this be done?
