OK, I was able to solve this. My problem being that I forgot the varialbe_keywords.ditamap was not always *being processed* --- so it was an external file located in the temp output dir during processing. So, the solution is, set a path to the file:  <xsl:param name="PATH2PROJ"> <xsl:apply-templates select="/processing-instruction('path2project-uri')[1]" mode="get-path2project"/> </xsl:param> <xsl:param name="WORKDIR"> <xsl:apply-templates select="/processing-instruction('workdir-uri')[1]" mode="get-work-dir"/> </xsl:param> <xsl:variable name="VAR-FILE" select="concat($WORKDIR,$PATH2PROJ,'variable_keywords.ditamap')"/> Then use the doc() function to point to this external file: <xsl:comment> <xsl:value-of select="doc($VAR-FILE)/map/keydef[@keys='var_release_version']/topicmeta/keywords/keyword"/> </xsl:comment> If anyone knows a more elegant solution, feel free to post it back. Help with XPath

Hi, I am adding a comment to each file that contains a release number. The release number is one of many variables defined in a *variable_keywords.ditamap* file. This file is a child of my main *ditamap*. Using the XPath Builder, I tested and found this path located the node I needed. (Below is a pic showing the path succeeding.) When I encode this path in the dita2webhelp.xsl file, the transformation succeeds but the node's RELEASE_VERSION content is not output: <xsl:comment> <xsl:value-of select="/map/keydef[@keys='var_release_version']/topicmeta/keywords/keyword"/> </xsl:comment> What am I doing wrong? automatically add a signature comment on new xquery and xslt files

Hi list I was wondering if any of you knew how to make oxygen generate a comment at the top of all new xquery and xslt files with my name and some other static text. If possible and additional benefit would be if also the current date was inserted . Best Regards Erik

warning if closing invalid documents

Format & Indent multiple files?

I know this has been requested before, so I’m curious to hear whether a future oXygen version might include the ability to Format & Indent multiple files at once--perhaps via a context menu item in Project View? Until then, I’m looking for a way to batch format & indent multiple files & limit line width to a maximum value. It seems `xmllint --format` doesn’t provide a line width option. The context menu in Project View suggests I could apply a transformation scenario to a folder. Could this be used to achieve the same result, perhaps through some use of the saxon:line-length and saxon:indent-spaces options? Or is there a command I could run on the command line that would approximate the results of oXygen’s Format & Indent feature? Regards, Roger

duplicate element

Hi, I've created my own extension of DITA. Amongst others I have added an element "predicate", like this: <xs:element name="predicate"> <xs:annotation> <xs:documentation>A <predicate> element marks the predicate, e.g. GROOT(Jan). (TP-ELEMENT)</xs:documentation> </xs:annotation> <xs:complexType> <xs:complexContent> <xs:extension base="predicate.class"> <xs:attribute ref="class" default="- ling-d/pred "/> </xs:extension> </xs:complexContent> </xs:complexType> </xs:element> <xs:complexType name="predicate.class" mixed="true"/> Now when I create a new ling topic, oXygen tells me E [Xerces] cos-nonambig: predicate and predicate (or elements from their substitution group) violate "Unique Particle Attribution". During validation against this schema, ambiguity would be created for those two particles. My lingGrp.xsd contains: <xs:group name="predicate"> <xs:sequence> <xs:choice> <xs:element ref="predicate" /> </xs:choice> </xs:sequence> </xs:group> My lingDomain.xsd contains: <xs:group name="ling-d-pred"> <xs:choice> <xs:group ref="predicate" /> </xs:choice> </xs:group> And my ling.xsd contains: <xs:group ref="ling-d-pred" /> No other references are made to predicate. Transforming without Entity placeholders

Hello list, i have some XML files from a DocBook handbook project. The files are chunked into different chapter files. Now i would like to transform each chapter file that it outputs the same docbook code but with solved entity solution. So the result should be a clean DocBook file without entity placeholders.
