docbook variable substitution

Hi, Apologies if this is slightly off topic. I have a docbook question. Is there a way to define a variable in docbook and reference it in the text? In latex I would do: "\newcommand{\book}{Gone With the Wind}" then in the text: "I recently read \book." which would render as "I recently read Gone With the Wind." I can't seem to find out if this is possible. Thanks in advance. Andrew

Hi José, We'll try to make an improvement so that the Author page tries to resolve through the catalog the unparsed entity location so you will be able to map the locations using <rewriteSystem> or <system> and still get the images displayed in the Author. The fix should be available in Oxygen 10.3 (couple of weeks). In the last email I was mostly referring to the XML document post-processing (publishing to HTML, PDF, etc). How do you plan to do that if from what we tested none of the XSLT processors map the unparsed entities through the catalog? Hello, The XML documents I work with have the following form: <?xml version="1.0"?> <!DOCTYPE dmodule [ <!ENTITY TBD SYSTEM "http://myserver.mydomain.net:81/svn/s1000d/ TBD.svg" NDATA SVG> ]> <dmodule ...> ... <graphic boardno="TBD"/> ... </dmodule> As you can see, the figures system location are in a subversion repository and when specified as in the sample, figures are displayed OK in Author mode, CSS associated to the documents have the following entry to handle figures: graphic { display: block; content: url(unparsed-entity-uri(attr(boardno))); } I was trying to separate XML content from the actual subversion repository server inserting in the catalog.xml for my document type association: ... <rewriteSystem systemIdStartString="http://s1000d/" rewritePrefix="http://myserver.mydomain.net:81/svn/s1000d/ "/> <rewriteURI uriStartString="file://" rewritePrefix="http://myserver.mydomain.net:81/svn/s1000d/ "/> ... and changing the ENTITY declaration to: <!ENTITY TBD SYSTEM "http://s1000d/TBD.svg" NDATA SVG> But when in Author mode, the figure is not displayed, the following error message is displayed in a red box instead of the image: "Cannot display image http://s1000d/TBD.svg" It seems the rewrite statement in catalog.xml is not working. Why Does Does Oxygen Think There is No Schema for This Document?

Via Webdav to an instance of an RSuiteCMS database I have edited a document that looks like this: <Chapter xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="http://localhost:8080/rsuite/schemas/6d00bb0 04fcee1765c68a4bb7dafa548.xsd"> Where the URL of the XSD schema can be resolved by Oxygen (that is, I can do ctrl+enter and the schema document opens). However, Oxygen says there is no DTD or schema associated with the document and won't validate it. In the past I've had this problem when my catalogs were not configured correctly, but here there is an explicit and resolvable URL. Is my problem a configuration problem and if so, what would the configuration issue be? Intellisense support xsl:use-attribute-sets

Hello, I have intellisense working good for xslt and xslt-fo within Oxygen. Why isn't xsl:use-attribute-sets not an intellisense item? The named attribute-sets are, so once you have the entire xsl:use-attribute-sets typed out, you then get a list of the attribute sets. Thanks, Karl..

Default Scenario to apply

Hello, I've create a scenario associated with a document type xml (only one). Is it possible to apply this scenario without selecting it in the Configure Transformation Dialog when I click on Apply Transformation Scenario button? Toolkit Plugin-Contributed Author CSS Style Sheets

I may have asked this before I don't remember doing so: What would it take to enable Open Toolkit plugins to *automatically* contribute Author CSS style sheets? I have developed a basic use pattern where I deploy Toolkit plugins for my specializations to the Toolkit installed under Oxygen. This makes all the DTDs for my specializations immediately available to Oxygen, which is about as convenient as it's possible for the system to be, given that all the default DITA stuff just works. But I would also like to be able to contribute Author-mode CSS style sheets using the same plugins so that I don't have to manage two different deployment and packaging actions. It would be nice, for example, to be able to distribute a Zip with Toolkit plugins that when others install them under Oxygen, all the Oxygen-specific stuff just works, at least CSS style sheets.
