advantages of using Eclipse plugin?

I'm curious to know what the advantages are for using the Oxygen plugin for Eclipse instead of the standalone version of Oxygen? I'm not doing any deep development work, which might be where the advantages are. I see that, using the Oxygen plugin, you can transform content into Eclipse Help, but otherwise, I am not sure why I would want to use Oxygen inside of Eclipse. how to make processing instructions work with an Oxygen Docbook transform?

Hi, there, (I'm on the latest version of Oxygen Author, using FOP PDF transform). I'd like to use a Dcobook processing instruction for page breaks on PDF -- as mentioned in Bob's book. http://www.sagehill.net/docbookxsl/PageBreaking.html#HardPageBreaks I'd like to use one of the Oxygen transforms for Docbook. What are my options here? I see that in the transform dialog you have an "Additional XSLT stylesheet" option on the XSLT tab. Can I use that? I have used processing instructions successfully if I download my own Docbook XSLT and transform my project using a customization layer (which then imports the docbook files). I know how to do that. But I'm working for a client and would like to give them something easy which they can do entirely with the Oxygen transforms. SVN client version

Hi, We've run into a situation where some users have Subversion 1.8 working copies made by TortoiseSVN, but would like to be able to use SyncroSVN alongside it and/or instead of it, but the version bundled with Oxygen seems to still be pre-1.8, and the latest TortoiseSVN version appears to only work with 1.8 working copies. Is there any way round this other than checking out a new working copy? Perhaps it's possible to upgrade the bundled version of SyncroSVN? As an alternative, does an Oxygen Editor licence key work with the standalone version of SyncroSVN? Or is 1.8 support in the bundled version planned soon? Many thanks!

shortcut key Ctrl+Shift+Space doesn't work in author-mode

Hello, I just wanted to use the shortcut key Ctrl+Shift+Space within the author-mode of my Oxygen 15.2 version. But within the author-mode I don’t get any suggestions … This shortcut key works only when I’m in the text-mode. Is this an intended behavior of the author-mode? oXygen Author DITA Arabic Support

I recently activated oXygen 16 and was wondering if you have reference to actual DITA use cases or sample documents with Arabic language content. I know it works in principle, but my limited trial yet did not yield a good output. My target output would be PDF and Webhelp, for a large documentation project where all/main content will be in Arabic, and will need to support profiling and conditional processing. I tried in a basic topic inserting Arabic content within the element tags. The PDF output had major form problem and the Arabic text was at left rather than at right. The XHTML output came with proper form, but also at left (probably this has a solution by adjusting right-to-left parameter). Thanks & regards, Khaled Aly

Author 16 DITA - Arabic content

Hi I recently activated oXygen 16 and was wondering if you have reference to actual DITA use cases or sample documents with Arabic language content. I know it works in principle, but my limited trial (topic file attached) produced mis-formed Arabic in the PDF. This is a large documentation project where the main content would be in Arabic and need to ensure it would work smoothly. There is a RTL problem in both PDF and XHTML outputs, but I suppose this can be overcome by adjusting related parameter. The main thing is whether things would work smoothly, specially when styling the PDF. Thanks & regards, Khaled

Does the DITA-OT provided with oXygen have mods to allow both .xml and .dita extensions?

Hi Does the DITA-OT provided with oXygen have modifications that support using topics with either .xml or .dita filename extensions in the same build? I am running into a problem with a different DITA-OT where we have imported files and wound up with both extensions in use at the same time. The symptom is that the .dita files are not filtered. That is, the conditions in @product are not respected, resulting in contents for 2 different products included in the output. My simple tests with our oXygen-based builds show that files with both extensions are processed correctly. Can you let me know if you made changes to support mixed extensions, and where the changes are? The version of the DITA-OT I am using is the 1.5.4 version that came with oXygen 13.2.
