Dear Roger, In this particular situation Oxygen offers in that dialog that asks you what editor should be used to open the ".h" file an option that says: [ ] Associate file type with editor If you want to always open ".h" files with the C editor, just enable the checkbox and this will automatically add an entry in Options->Preferences -- File Types that will associate for the ".h" extension the C editor. We considered this to cover the use case you mentioned, and if somebody does not want to enable this checkbox then maybe they want to have the option to select another editor next time a ".h" file is opened. You may also go to the "File types" preferences page and associate there extensions with specific editors. There are some cases when we apply the idea of learning, for example if you open a file without any schema, then Oxygen will automatically infer the document structure from the current file and it will offer content completion based on that. Hi Folks, I am using Oxygen to create C programs. I drag and drop a .c file into Oxygen and Oxygen recognizes that it should use its C editor to open the file. I drag and drop a .h file into Oxygen and Oxygen asks me what kind of file it is. I can drag and drop the .h file into Oxygen a hundred times and Oxygen will always ask me what kind of file it is, and I always tell Oxygen the same thing. Why can't Oxygen learn? After some number of times telling Oxygen to use the C editor, Oxygen should assume that the .h file should be opened using the C editor. Well, that is on my wish list for Oxygen. /Roger

Is there some way I can do an action and then assignment to a keyboard shortcut? I often capitalize letters that shouldn't be and on Frame and Word there is a keyboard shortcut to change it quickly. I didn't see such a shortcut in Oxygen (maybe there is?). I also see there is no way to record macros. I am using Linux and would like to record/create macros. How do I do this? Thanks? Custom XML Calabash in oXygen

Hi, I want to convert XProc Pipelines in oXygen with a custom XML Calabash (https://github.com/transpect/calabash-frontend) Therefore, I followed Adrian's instructions which he made on this list some years ago: https://www.oxygenxml.com/pipermail/oxygen-user/2013-March/004558.html However, I ran into a couple of problems: (1) I can run a simple XProc pipeline, but when I want to use an XProc extension step in my pipeline, Calabash aborts and states that there is no class in my configuration for the extension step. However, I've added this to my engine.xml: <library name="extensions/transpect/unzip-extension/io/transpect/calabash/extensions/UnZip.class"/> And I have this in my calabash.config file. The paths are correct. <implementation type="letex:unzip tr-internal:unzip" class-name="io.transpect.calabash.extensions.UnZip"/> (2) I was not able to add a custom XML catalog to the configuration. Why is "Go to definition" so slow?

Hi Folks, In XML Schema documents I can select a type, right-mouse-click, select "Go to definition", and then Oxygen will take me to the type definition. This is a great feature. However, in recent versions of Oxygen, it has gotten really slow. For example, I have a schema file that is 604 lines (i.e., a small schema). I selected a type, right-mouse-clicked, and selected "Go to definition". It took 20 seconds for Oxygen to find the type. Why does it take so long? I remember in previous editions of Oxygen it would take less than 2 seconds. /Roger

Apparently, somewhere in the file is an invalid Unicode character because when I drag-and-drop the file into Oxygen I get the error message: Cannot open the specified file: Got a character encoding exception. File encoding (UTF-8) does not support all characters from the current file. The problem is this: Where is the invalid UTF-8 character? Is there a way to get Oxygen to tell me where -- what character position -- it detected the invalid Unicode character? /Roger

Indeed with a regexp expression you can select the entire text: (1), (2), and (3)terminal but I have no solution for the situation in which you want the Find Next to find sequentially (1), (2) and (3). Hello, We are excited to announce the release of Oxygen Git Client add-on version 2.4! One of the most important features found in the newest version of the add-on is the addition of the "Abort merge" action for when conflicts result after a Pull (merge) operation. This allows you to abort the current conflict resolution process. Other improvements added in version 2.4 of the Oxygen Git Client add-on that expand its functionality even further include: * The addition of a quick find filter to the Git History view. * A new set of options in the Git Client preferences page that can be used to decide whether to always switch to a newly detected working copy from a project, to never switch, or to always ask. * The "Preferences" action was added in the Settings menu that acts as a shortcut to the Git Client preferences page. * An issue was fixed where pushing to a remote branch with a different name than the one of the local branches did not work. * Numerous other bug fixes were integrated, along with UI improvements, and speed improvements. * The JGit component included in the Git Client was updated to version 5.10.0. Oxygen XML Editor 23.0, build 2020111805 Dialog Boxes no longer adjustable

Hi, After upgrading to Oxygen XML Editor 23.0, build 2020111805 on Big Sur, the dialog boxes (window) size is no longer adjustable and can’t be expanded/enlargened as previously. I have a previous version of Oxygen Author v21 installed where this does work. Thanks Bonny

Specifying information type for HTML to DITA conversions

Hi, any advice about specifying the information type for the batch converter? I installed the add-on from https://github.com/oxygenxml/oxygen-resources-converter I have a bunch of HTML files that I want to convert to task topics. Hi group, I've got a bookmap with a small reltable. When I generate HTML5, I see the related links, but I don't see them in my webhelp, although the args.rellinks and webhelp.show.related.links parameters are set to "yes". Any ideas what could be wrong? I'm using Oxygen XML Editor v. 23. Kind regards Yves

Hello, We are happy to announce that version 2.0.0 of our Oxygen DITA References View add-on is now available in the Oxygen XML default add-on repository! The new version of the add-on is free and compatible with any Oxygen XML Editor/Author/Developer version 23.0 and newer. Version 2.0.0 of the Oxygen DITA References View add-on comes with these useful new improvements: * The addition of a new tab where incoming references are presented for the current DITA topic. * Added support for translating the view's user interface in English, German, French, Japanese, and Dutch. * Various small bugs were fixed. To install the add-on, follow these instructions: 1. In Oxygen, go to Help->Install new add-ons to open an add-on selection dialog box. 2.
