'Change log' element in add-on descriptor file?

I would like the ability to include a change log in an add-on descriptor file (initially for the 'focheck' add-on). A change log would let a user see what has changed and work out whether or not they really want the update. Since I can't do it yet, I'm not sure if the contents would be the first section or the full contents of the change log at: https://github.com/AntennaHouse/focheck/blob/master/ChangeLog.md I could, of course, put the change log in the <xt:description> element, but I see the description as being different from a change log, just as many projects have a ReadMe file and a ChangeLog file. (If it was a separate element, it would also be that little bit easier to automatically update the change log before making a release.) Show license in 'Manage add-ons' dialog box?

It would be useful if the 'Manage add-ons' dialog box included a tab for the license of the currently-selected add-on. For example, the only times when I am sure of the license for the 'Git Support' add-on is the five seconds either side of the moments when I update it. Set the start screen in output pdf

Hi, I want the pdf display of my book from the beginning to 50 % and two pages. Is it possible to set these parameters in the xml/xslt? I do not find any indication for this in docbook xls or in the internet. docbook xml 5.1 -> pdf via oxygens inbuilt transforming plus customized xls file. Any hints are welcome. Hi, I'm creating Author action that should allow user to browse for an image file and then insert appropriate DocBook fragment: <figure xmlns="http://docbook.org/ns/docbook"> <title>${caret}</title> <mediaobject> <imageobject> <imagedata fileref="${ask('Choose image file', relative_url, '')}"/> </imageobject> </mediaobject> </figure> I'm using ro.sync.ecss.extensions.commons.operations.InsertFragmentOperation action for this. This works as expected in desktop Autor. However in Web Author URL chooser appears, I can choose file, filename shows in input box. But when I press OK button to accept chosen filename, input box is cleared and nothing happens. I can close URL chooser only by using Cancel button. Hi Bernhard, Bob, I don't see anything in Apache FOP supporting this feature. Indeed Adobe Pro seems to support setting such properties to a PDF, you can google for "open pdf zoom". Floating windows problem

Oxygen: When windows are not attached to the main oxygen window, things like search and xpath dialogue do not work for that window. Here I will demonstrate in 2 pictures the problem I am experiencing. 1. Snapshot of separate window and the xpath toolbar floating above it. Notice the TMPLT.xml window is not selected (title isn't bold) [image: image.png] 2. In this snapshot, the xpath dialogue is gone. Italics not in section title

Italics in the text are present with the font selected (Alegreya), however, in section titles there is a font replacement which I donot understand: Lymantriinae - Trägspinner is the wrong replacement, Elkneria pudibunda ist correctly shown. This demonstrates that the italic version of Alegreya is installed, but is not used for titles. Very strange! Oxygen 20.1 direct transformation to pdf. The customization layer contains the following lines: <xsl:attribute-set name="section.title.level2.properties"> <xsl:attribute name="font-size">19pt</xsl:attribute> <xsl:attribute name="font-style">italic</xsl:attribute> </xsl:attribute-set> Please let me know how to solve this! Outline not displaying correctly or a suggestion

I have Oxygen 19.1 and am seeing issues with the Outline view not redrawing correctly (missing titles) Here's a snapshot [image: image.png] Here is a snippet of the Xml [image: image.png] I'm expecting, in the outline "Accounting". Currently the outline is showing the first attribute, such as "register_profile" of the child query element which makes total sense. Custom styling of xrefs in CSS?

Hi, I need to customize display of DocBook xref elements pointing to figures. Such xrefs shouldn't display title of referenced figure, but instead figure number should be displayed (something like Figure 3.2). I was reading documentation but my impression is that this can't be done in pure CSS with oXygen extensions. Instead I have to implement my own LinkTextResolver: https://www.oxygenxml.com/InstData/Editor/SDK/javadoc/ro/sync/ecss/extensio… Is that right assess or have I missed something? Also will LinkTextResolver work in Web Author? In this particular case it would be useful to have access to content generated by :before on the link target. Customizing responsive webhelp: adding an imagemap to the tiles

Obviously Alegreya has no corresponding glyph for that so that FOP looked for a font which had it. That was Times Roman. Thanks a lot for Luca Bellonda from the FOP Mailing list for sorting this out. Changing the space for a no-break space ( U+00A0) removed the offending font change. using math extension in oxygen

I have a stylesheet which currently uses an exslt math function. Within oXygen this works fine in a transformation scenario, provided I choose the saxon9pe processor. Using saxon9ee however, it fails. Why is that? And how would I go about running this transformation outside oXygen? I need to run it many times, preferably from the command line.

Problem reloading jars that contains XSL

Hello, I have an xsl - let's name it MAIN.XSL - that import another, located in a jar file : <xsl:import href="jar:file:/Users/cmarchand/devel/foe.jar!/path/to/file.xsl" /> This works perfectly, in Oxygen, with Saxon, everywhere. Now, if I change my <foe>/src/main/xsl/path/to/file.xsl file (inside or outside Oxygen), and rebuild the jar, when I come back to my MAIN.XSL, Oxygen displays an Error : I/O error reported by XML parser processing jar:file:/Users/cmarchand/devel/foe.jar!/path/to/file.xsl: JAR entry path/to/file.xsl not found in /Users/cmarchand/devel/foe.jar Of course, jar exists, is well formed, can be loaded by JVM, and file.xsl also exists, is also well formed, and is also correctly run by Saxon outside Oxygen. If I restart Oxygen, without changing foe.jar, everything works correctly. Problem exists from Oxygen 15 to 20.1 I think Matthieu Ricaud had previously reported this problem, but maybe verbally, at XMLPrague ... Thanks in advance, Christophe

Fontchange in table titles?

Hi, I have changed body.font.family and the title.font.family and added in Front of the fonts, oxygen offers, Alegreya. This font is installed on the computer. The strange thing happening is that in table titles the first word of the title is now not in Alegreya, maybe in Times Roman although in cannot see anything in parameters where the table.title is mentioned so that the first word is going into some other font. I asked Thomas Schaitle already, but he has no idea what is going on. Have you any idea what is going on? Why does the Spell Checker start to work without my asking for anything?

Dear oXygen support team, what can I do to disable the automatic spelling correction which results in my typing "a, i, " and seeing oXygen changing it to "a, I, " as soon as I type the comma I can read in the following page https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/20.1/ug-editor/topics/spell-check-as… that > Oxygen XML Editor includes an option to automatically check the spelling as you type. Not only does it check spelling when you are typing in the main editor, but also when you are typing in a comment. This feature is disabled by default, but it can be enabled and configured in the Spell Check preferences page. If "This feature is disabled by default", why does it happen when I am sure I never asked for it. Thanks for your help. This is really getting on my nerves. -- Jean-Luc Chevillard

oXygen attribute dropdowns and Dynamic value lists from TEI generated schemas

Hi there, In TEI, as many of you know, we write our schemas in the TEI ODD customisation language and generate schemas in formats such as like Relax NG, etc. but my question, I think, is really about the way oXygen interprets Relax NG in providing its helpful dropdown menus, etc. In oXygen when we have an attribute value that has a data type of anyURI oXygen helpfully pops up a list of potential values based on listing all the @xml:id's in the document. The problem, as I'm sure many have encountered, is that lists all the @xml:id's not those that might make suitable values for this attribute. Is there a way in the generated Relax NG to somehow specify that the values are any of the descendant @xml:id's from a particular XPath within the document (or indeed another document)? For a use-case what I'm interested in doing in TEI is, for a particular element customise the allowed values of the @ana attribute (which takes multiple whitespace-separated anyURI datatype values). We often use this attribute in TEI to point to a number of other elements including a taxonomy of arbitrarily-deeply nested categories in the document instance (or shared commonly between a number of document instances.) For example: === <taxonomy> <category xml:id="MSmaterials"> <catDesc>A list of Manuscript Materials</catDesc> <category xml:id="paper"> <catDesc>Paper</catDesc> </category> <category xml:id="parchment"> <catDesc>Parchment</catDesc> </category> </category> <category xml:id="occupations"> <catDesc>A list of occupations</catDesc> <category xml:id="tinker"> <catDesc>A tinker</catDesc> </category> <category xml:id="tailor"> <catDesc>A tailor</catDesc> </category> <category xml:id="soldier"> <catDesc>A soldier</catDesc> </category> <category xml:id="spy"> <catDesc>A spy</catDesc> </category> </category> </taxonomy> === Here we have two categories (MSmaterials and occupations) with a variety of sub-categories, but that could go many levels down. When adding the @ana attribute in oXygen the drop down would give us all of these @xml:ids and all those elsewhere in the document. Is there a way manually, or semi-automatically, in the Relax NG to signal to oXygen that for elementX/@attributeY the drop-down menu in the XML Editor should only provide @xml:ids from within descendants a particular element (e.g. //category[@xml:id='occupations']) In the TEI ODD customisation file, I could, of course, limit it to specific values.... and generate Relax NG from that. We'd do that with something like the following (embedded in an elementSpec: === <attDef ident="ana" mode="change"> <valList mode="add" type="closed"> <valItem ident="#tinker"> <desc>A tinker</desc> </valItem> <valItem ident="#tailor"> <desc>A tailor</desc> </valItem> <valItem ident="#soldier"> <desc>A soldier</desc> </valItem> <valItem ident="#spy"> <desc>A spy</desc> </valItem> </valList> </attDef> === Which when transformed to a closed value list in Relax NG would mean that I could choose '#tinker', '#tailor', '#soldier', '#spy' - giving hard-coded strings that then function as URI fragments. But of course neglects that the attribute can take multiple values in any order. Someone can reasonably be both a spy and soldier. I suppose I could on regenerating the schema, have the processing look up this <taxonomy> and pull out all the values, and automatically hard-code them in all possible particular orders, but that, I hope you agree, seems silly and of course doesn't scale. Also it has the problem of needing to regenerate the schema every time a new category is added. I could do this with Schematron, I suppose, i.e. stick in a Schematron rule that says for elementX/attributeY look up the values in doc('taxonomy.xml')//category[@xml:id='occuptaions'], or something. But while that might help with validation, I don't believe oXygen will pick that up for the dropdown menu. I have a very vague memory of someone looking working on an extension to oXygen which did something like this (though I think externally from the schema). If someone remembers the project I'm forgetting, please do let me know. If there was a way to signal to oXygen from Relax NG the XPath which to use to produce the dropdown list, then I can see us adding something that would produce that signal to TEI ODD processing, and lots of projects using it. Is this something that is already available, feasible, or completely ridiculous? Thanks for any thoughts. James Cummings

Subfigure numbering with docbook 5

The Docbook definitive Guide does not mention subfigures. The Docbook xsl complete Guide does not either. I have a figure too large that the text can only be read by magnifying glass. So I wand two parts of it on two pages. But I cannot see how to number it correctly Fig. 1a and Fig. 1b. Can please point me in correct direction? The paper size to be is Din A4 (210 x 297mm) but the doc has 215.9 x 279.4 mm.

Hi, while transforming the indicated paper size is A4 but the document produced is (errorneously) something else. The paper-type in the parameters is also "a4". Something is fishy.
