Hi, I am sure I am just missing something obvious, but here goes! I have a document like <http://kjc-fs2.kjc.uni-heidelberg.de:8600/exist/apps/tamboti/modules/search…> When I simply "Validate" this, that is click the red checkmark, I get SystemID: http://cluster-schemas.uni-hd.de/modsCluster.xsd Main validation file: /Users/jens/Desktop/Untitled1.xml Schema: http://cluster-schemas.uni-hd.de/modsCluster.xsd Engine name: Saxon-EE 9.3.0.5 Severity: fatal Description: The attributeGroup {simpleLink} is referenced, but has not been declared Start location: 1051:0 … The MODS schema in question references the XLink schema which declares the xlink:simpleLink attributeGroup, but the link to the XLink schema is obviously not de-referenced. However, when I choose "Validate with …" by clicking on the arrow to the right of the checkmark and feed the schemaLocation contained in the MODS document (namely, <http://cluster-schemas.uni-hd.de/modsCluster.xsd>), the document validates. In this case then, the XLink schema must be referenced. What explains this difference? When I open the schema at <http://cluster-schemas.uni-hd.de/modsCluster.xsd>, the XLink schema is also not de-referenced. Best, Jens oXygen 13.0 on Max OS X 10.6.8.

A Trivial Docbook to Epub Oxygen/Ant Transform doesn't produce valid epub files!

Hi, I tried in XML Author to transform a small and simple docbook file using the included build.xml file. I used an example file already included with Oxygen. Please note that I later ran the db2epub.py script via command line with no customization layer using docbook-xsl-1.76.1 and produced an epub file validated by epubcheck. I don't know what's going on with that, but that could be a docbook xsl bug. Second, I seem to recall that when my customization layer referenced the namespaced version of the epub docbook xsl that occasionally it produced extra references in content.opf. Configuration of profiling attributes and their values

Hi, would it be possible to move configuration of profiling attributes and their values into document type? I often create customized version of DocBook for my customer and part of this customization are also preconfigured values for profiling in schema. Schema and other necessary files are distributed as an oXygen framework so it makes sense to configure profiling attributes here then as a global/project options. DITA: @audience with two diffent values in one map

hi all, I made a DITA-map that refers twice to one and the same task. First with @audience = novice, secondly with @audience = expert. The topic has several elements (substeps) that are only applicable for "novice". map | |--topic topicref="topic.dita" audience="novice" | |--topic topicref="topic.dita" audience="expert" I want the topic to appear twice in the publication: the first occurence for novice, the second for expert. When I use DITA-OT with the settings above, I get the same topic twice, both instances showing no conditions at all, so both showing all elements. What am I doing wrong? Validating entities?

This is possibly a silly question, please forgive me if that is the case: We have text files and RelaxNG schemas for them. In addition we point to DTD-fragments for defining entities. It seems that validation in Oxygen (both 12.x and 13) out-of-the-box does not check to see if entities used in the text file are declared or not, that the files are considered valid even if they use entity-names that are not used. Enhancement Request: Make keyref dialog wider

Good practice for DITA key names is to use a distinguishing prefix so that related keys sort together alphabetically. I'm finding that the default width of the Insert Content Key Reference dialog is too narrow so that the keys are truncated before even the complete prefix is display. E.g., my keys are "action-handler-foo-bar" where "action-handler-" is the common prefix. Suggest making the default width for the dialog at least twice the current default. docbook to epub ant problem? (Oxygen Editor 13)

I posted another preliminary question about using the docbook ant script to produce epub files. But before I have dug too deeply into trying to customize my ant script, I notice that on my windows Vista system, the default transformation to epub using ANT doesn't work at all. It may be something peculiar to my environment, but I have tried the easiest possible example, and still it does not work. I created a new docbook 5 File --> new --> Framework Templates (Book). I added one line "Hello from Robert" inside the para tag, validated it and renamed it to dummy.xml . I did not even add an image or css file to it. I added it to a new project. Then I chose the button CONFIGURE TRANSFORMATION SCENARIO and then chose ANT Transformation Docbook EPUB As far as I know, I did not touch anything on the scenario. In the project directory, I see an "out" directory with a mimetype file, but nothing else. To my knowledge, I have not touched anything in the frameworks directory. The only change I made is that I made the epub\bin directory writable/editable (even though I have not edited the build.xml file at all). I have run the PDF and chunked HTML transforms with success on the same dummy.xml file. On a hunch, I opened up the same project and sample docbook 5 file in XML Author instead of XML editor. I was able to get the default epub transform to work. Alas, there are slight differences in the command to run the executables (i.e., the names of the files, and the order in which they are mentioned). Any idea why this would make a difference? how to customize the docbook-to-epub ant script?

I am trying to customize the ant-build script for docbook epub so that the customizations and the epub stylesheets are in my Windows user directories rather than in the system directories. for example I want to use the latest snapshot instead of the version which comes with Oxygen. Namely: my snapshot of docbook xsl: I:\My Documents\1latest\docbook-xsl-snapshot xml/xsl source to be here: I:\My Documents\My Dropbox\xml build.xml file is currently here C:\Program Files (x86)\Oxygen XML Editor 13\frameworks\docbook\xsl\epub\bin Could I still use this build.xml file in modified form? In which directory would be the best place to put the build.xml file? Should I copy the AddImagesContentOpf.xsl, copy.xsl, images.xsl, removeImagesContentOpf.xsl into I:\My Documents\1latest\docbook-xsl-snapshot\epub ? If I kept the build.xml file in my project directory I:\My Documents\My Dropbox\xml\ , which references would I need to fix? I'm not sure where this catalog.xml file ought to reside. webservice problem

Hi, I made an extension for selecting stuff from a database. This works. But now the data have to com from a remote server, so I made a webservice (using Spring 2.5.6). When I run the client standalone (outside Oxygen) it works fine and shows my data. But when I run it as an Oxygen author extension, no communication takes place. Is Oxygen blocking webservice communication? What can I do to resolve this problem? oXygen vocabulary for XSLT documentation

Hi, I use the http://www.oxygenxml.com/ns/doc/xsl elements to document a stylesheet. I am looking for an equivalent of the HTML element CODE, to insert an inline piece of code. But the only inline elements I can find are for bold and italic. Did I miss something? Also, because I know I am going to generate HTML output, is it possible to use XHTML elements in an xd:p element? In order to escape to raw HTML when there is no support in the oXygen doc vocabulary for something I want to use in HTML (e.g. the CODE element, if it happens to be not supported). And finally, for the same reason, is it possible to customize the generation of the output? Changing the line width

Hi. I use the "Detect line width on open" option in Preferences->Editor->Format so that I don't mess up other peoples files when pretty-printing them. However, sometimes I do wish to change the line width of a specific file. I have begun experimenting with some CSS 3 effects , particularly box rounding and box shadows. All of the example I see indicate that I have to use css properties like: border-radius : 25px; -moz-border-radius : 25px; /* Firefox 3.6 and earlier */ -moz-box-shadow : 10px 10px 5px #888888; /* Firefox 3.6 and earlier */ -webkit-box-shadow : 10px 10px 5px #888888; box-shadow : 10px 10px 5px #888888; This causes problems with the W3C CSS validator connected to Oxygen. Create DITAVAL Files from Condition Sets?

I see that if I create a condition set and run the Toolkit using it, that Oxygen is generating a DITAVAL file in a temp location. Is there a way to save a condition set as a DITAVAL file? I realize that DITAVAL files are not hard to create by hand, just seemed like a convenient feature. Saxon -init option in scenario config

This is clearly a spelling error because the expectation is that an inline element will have its content rendered next to the content of the parent element without entering additional whitespace. The user should correct that to These ideas resulting ... Now, in your case I assume that tag2 is defined in the CSS as an inline element. If you define it as a block then the spell checking will look into that element content without taking into account its parent element content. There are some cases indeed when there are inline elements whose content is not supposed to continue the content of the parent element, like index terms for example so we will disable this feature in version 13 and we will think of a better way to introduce it (maybe as a configuration at framework level) in a future release. Cannot Open Windows Explorer

Hi, I've recently upgraded to a Windows 7 - 64 Bits. I read in your forum that installing the All-Platforms version with a 64-Bit JVM is the best solution. I assumed this is correct since the Windows version of Oxygen can only install to the x86 version of my Program Files folder. Anyway, I can start Oxygen via the .BAT. I assume this is running the 64 bit JVM since I've already set my environment variable PATH to the jre6 folder. I've not yet edited my Xmx parameter, but I noticed that when I tried to open a saved project, I wasn't getting an Explorer window. I'm writing up some how-to-create-DITA-documents tutorials using OxygenXML as the editor. Is there a set of graphics for the various Toolbar icons that I can use in my documentation so I don't have to screen grab the ones I want? New Schematron rule for DITA maps

If an element of class mapgroup-d/topichead has neither a @navtitle attribute nor a topicmeta/navtitle element, it should be flagged with a warning as it will act as a topicgroup in that case. Ideally <topichead> would require topicmeta/navtitle but of course that's not possible with DTD or XSD alone. Might also be useful to warn about the use of @navtitle, which is deprecated.
