Buffers open dirty

I am seeing an interesting and mildly frustrating behavior in Oxygen Editor 9.3 build 2008081313. On opening Oxygen, when it opens the files that were open when I closed it, some of the buffers are coming up dirty -- that is, Oxygen thinks the contents have been changed despite the fact that they have just been opened. I have also seen this behavior when simply opening a file using the File > Open menu. While no damage appears to be done by this behavior, it is annoying. Strange Project window behaviour

Hi, I've experienced a weird bug. Unfortunately, I don't know exactly how to reproduce it, but maybe its description can help you yet. A few times, the Project window is completely empty. It is just white, there is not even the toolbar. The last time it happened, the oXygen window was full screen, and the editor window within it took the whole space (don't know how to name it, happens when you double click on the file name on top of the editor window.) When I clicked on the "Project" button, the reduced Project window showed correctly. But when I reduced the editor window (double click again on the file name) the Project window is displayed, but completely empty. Custom Saxon processor and global preferences

Hi, Is there any way to alter the built-in XSLT processors? I have a set of extensions I use often, and I'd like to have a Saxon processor in oXygen that behaves exactly as the built-in Saxon 9 B processor. The easiest way would be to be able to add a JAR file in the classpath of the built-in processor, but I didn't find a way to do so. So I created a new processor, with all Saxon 9 B JARs in the classpath, as well as my extension JAR. That is fine, but this processor doesn't take into account global preferences, like XML Catalogs. Did I miss an easier way to achive my goal? If not, how can I configure the XML Catalogs support for my custom processor? (I know how to configure Saxon from the command line, but I'd like to know how I can get the catalog URIs to use) Regards, -- Florent Georges http://www.fgeorges.org/

Highlight all matches in Quick Find

Hi, I like the Quick Find feature (Ctrl-Alt-F) that looks like the search feature in FireFox or incremental search in Emacs. Hiding diagram view when editing an XML schema

But sometimes I like to edit schemas only by hand, and in this case the diagram just takes useful room... Is there any way to hide it temporarily? How to not validate an XML document that is called via the 'document' function in XSLT 2.0 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

Hi all, I have an XSL that calls an XML document using the 'document' function. The document that I call has an incorrect 'schemaLocation' statement in it. This makes the XML document invalid. The document itself is well formed and does validate if one changes the schemaLocation to point to a real location of the included XSDs. I am trying to get the custodians of this XML document to change the schemaLocation to fix this problem. Meanwhile, I would like to be able to call this document using the 'document' function without validating it. Can this be done in XSLT 2.0 or Oxygen? If so what parameter settings do I make in my XSL or Oxygen. An example of the XSL is below. Thanks. Feature Request for Content Completion with East Asian Text

Hi there, We are using oXygen mainly to edit Chinese or Japanese text. In this case, words are not separated by whitespace. For a project we are having here, I am setting up snippets that should be inserted using code completion. However, Code Completion fires only after a whitespace character, so we have to input a spurious whitespace character to kick this off, which then has to be deleted again at some point. Hence my feature request: When doing a Code Completion, look at the character before the insertion point and fire if either there is a whitespace, or a character in the Unicode ranges for East Asian characters. This should be fairly easy to implement and have no negative impact on the current functionality. Transform directory

Hi, I haven't found a way to transform a directory with XSLT in oXygen. What I am looking for is a tool you give a stylesheet and a directory to (and maybe a file glob in that directory) and it applies the stylesheet to every document in that directory in turn (or every document the name of which matches the file glob.) XProc RNC schema not valid with oNVDL

Hi, I've downloaded the official XProc RNC grammar from: http://www.w3.org/TR/xproc/schemas/xproc.rnc http://www.w3.org/TR/xproc/schemas/steps.rnc When I open the main file (xproc.rnc) in oXygen, I get the following errors from oNVDL: an "element" pattern containing an "attribute" pattern with a non-null ID-type must have a name class that contains only "choice" and "name" elements conflicting ID-types for attribute "id" from namespace "http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace" of element "catch" from namespace "http://www.w3.org/ns/xproc" Before sending a defect report to the WG, I would like to be sure this is not because a restriction of oNVDL. Can Tag Indent Be Configured On a Per-DTD/Per-Namespace Basis?

I work with some documents that should *never* be formatted and intended and some that I would like to always be. I didn't see a way to configure this in the options. For example, I often work with InCopy INCX XML, in which whitespace is both significant and fiddly (it uses things like Unicode paragraph break characters to signal formatting paragraph breaks--normalizing the whitespace breaks that). If there's no way to do this, can you add it as a feature request? It would be necessary to be able to bind the association by file extension, as well as namespace, schema, and DTD, since in the case of CS3 INCX, the documents are in no namespace but do have a distinct extension (.incx). Code Templates table mixes up?

Hi, I've experienced strange behavior in the table presenting the Code Templates in the preferences Editor > Templates > Code Templates. For example, the first one in the table is "! / XSL Editor / not-!" but the preview shows: <xs:annotation> <xs:documentation>${caret}</xs:documentation> </xs:annotation> I tried the "Restore Defaults" button, but that doesn't change anything (besides loosing my changes :-p.) When I opened that window, I first tried to re-order the rows in the table (by Name, then Editor.) I don't know if this is related. Schematron for each element validation

Large File Viewer: Open dialog mistitled

Hello, In Oxygen 10.0, I launch the Large File Viewer (LFV) via the Tools menu. When I press Ctrl+O in the LFV, a dialog opens. Expected: the dialog title would be "Open File" or something similar. Actual: the dialog title is "Save Results". However when I select a file in this dialog and press OK, the file is loaded, not overwritten. Possibly related context: before launching the LFV, in Oxygen I ran a transformation scenario and then saved the results via the right-click menu and the "Save Results..." menu item. Lars

Hi All, Thanks for all your suggestions. I loaded the XSL that Sorin sent and it validated without errors. I checked my Options -> Preferences -> XSLT -> XSLT 2.0 options and I have selected Saxon-B 9.0.0.6. I then went back to edit the configuration transformation scenario and found the problem. For some unknown reason to logic I somehow had set the "Transformer" option to Saxon 6. Once I set this to Saxon-B 9.0.0.6 the translation worked. ;--) Sorry for causing you all to think about this problem. I should have thought to look at those settings. Hi, I am running Oxygen9.3. I am trying to use an XSLT 2.0 function "lower-case()". For some reason the XLST doesn't recognise this function. I get the error: SystemID: G:\asdd\work\dif2anzlic\DIF-ISO-ANZLIC.xsl Location: 1378:0 Description: Error in expression lower-case(.): Unknown system function: lower-case I don't understand why this is not working. I have set my preferences to use Saxon-B 9.0.0.6 for XSLT 2.0 Validation. Is there some other setting that I need to make? Custom editor variables

Hi, It seems there is a defined, finite set of editor variables. I didn't find any way to create my own variables. Did I miss something? My problem is: I have some stylesheets I am working on in a separate directory than the oXygen project directory. And that directory can change from time to time. Instead of changing each scenario each time that directory changes, I would like to define an editor variable, my-dir, and use it in the scenarios: "${my-dir}/sub/sheet.xsl" Regards, -- Florent Georges http://www.fgeorges.org/

Entering Unicode characters

Hello, ist it possible to enter unicode characters into oXygen by the use of shortcuts? XQuery (or XPath) console?

Hi, I should have missed something, but I can't find a tool in oXygen to evaluate XQuery (or at least XPath) expressions. For instance, I have a set of XML files in a directory, and I'd like to know which has the most 'elem' elements. So I'd like to evaluate a query (without creating a new file, if possible selecting the default collection with a file dialog, and if possible recording the query as part of the project) something like: for $d in collection() order by count(//elem) return document-uri(.)
