Validation problem

I have a RELAXNG schema which contains embedded schematron rules and a document which begins with two xml-model PIs like this: <?xml-model href="out/odd4crit.rng type="application/xml" schematypens="http://relaxng.org/ns/structure/1.0"?> <?xml-model href="out/odd4crit.rng" type="application/xml" schematypens="http://purl.oclc.org/dsdl/schematron"?> When I validate this document using the default CTRL-SHIFT-V option, or using a predefined validation scenario, only Schematron validation errors are reported. When I validate by selecting "Validate with" and specifying the schema URL again, errors reported by jing also appear. Is this the intended behaviour? Why? I am using <oXygen/> XML Editor 24.1, build 2022030807 on Ubuntu 20.04

Schematron rule

Hi all, I need a Schemtron rule which indicates an error when <li> elements do not have any child elements. No error schould be indicated for <li> elements with an "conkeyref" attribute and also for <li> elements which are children of any element with a "conkeyref" attribute. Inserting current date into DITA file

Hi list, How can I insert the current date into a dita file? I would like to have oXygen automatically update the year of a copyright notice. I know that I can define editor variables. But how can I embed them in the dita code? If this needs to be tied to the XSL that produces the deliverable: I need this for CHM, which I generate with oXygen. (I have already found a solution for MiramoPDF. ) And I'd need to know where exactly to add the code... Thank you. These commands do what they say: The expand or collapse ALL. In oXygen's CHM tranformation, I wouldn't know where add this code. I am not XSLT savvy enough. Image and table width in Author mode

Hi list, I publish DITA content as online help and PDF. In oXygen's Author mode I would like to make sure that images do not exceed the width of the A4-sized PDF pages. Sometimes I also place two or more inline images side by side in a paragraph and want to make sure if all of them fit on the line or if there is a line break between them. All my images have PNG format and an "otherprops="fmdpi:xxx" attribute where xxx is usually 150, in some cases 140, 160 or similar. FrameMaker, my previous XML editor, honors this attribute and scales the images appropriately. I notice that oXygen displays images bigger in its editor compared to 150 dpi images in FrameMaker. I would need to reduce all images to about 66% of their size (= by factor 1.5). Unfortunately I do not know of any CSS style which scales images based on their own pixel size. Percentage values in CSS apply to the widht or height of the viewport. Likewise, I would like to make sure that table columns are not too narrow on the PDF pages. What can I do? Any ideas are welcome. DITA footnotes in Author mode

Hi list, oXygen does not seem to have any special styling for DITA footnotes in Author mode. They are just shown as inline elements in italics. Has anybody managed to style footnots with CSS in a way similar to how they would like on a page, i.e. on the bottom of the page with ascending numbers and a superscript number at the location where the footnote is referenced? I made some attempts with "fn {position: absolute; bottom: -2em}", but was not CSS-skilled enough to prevent the footnotes all being placed on top of each other. And I don't know how to implement a counter for elements that are scattered over the element tree (not children of the same element). Any ideas? Hi Radu, thanks for your analysis of my issue! Your questions and thoughts helped me to track down the problem. If you try to publish a map containing a title (or data element) with a conkeyref like this <map><title><ph conkeyref="key/productName"/></title>...</map> and if the reused element contains another element with an id attribute like this <ph id="productName"><ph id="otherId">...</ph>...</ph> then the DITA OT 3.7.3 (Oxygen 25.0 build in) is not able to resolve the reference on map level. For example the pdf front page title does not contain the referenced content. If you use conref instead, everything is fine. Conkeyrefs from topic to topic are also resolved as expected. It looks like a OT bug. Thx! Hello, We are excited to announce the release of our newest add-on – *Live Tutorials*! Now, end users can access live tutorials and learn how to utilize Oxygen right from the application by using this latest entry in our add-on library. The Live Tutorials add-on comes bundled with a set of tutorials for learning to work with the DITA XML standard and it also gives you the ability to create your own tutorials. Each tutorial contains one or more missions. A mission consists of a set of instructions and helpful tips in addition to the initial file content that is opened in the application. After you modify the original content to get the desired outcome, the mission is considered successful. To manually install the add-on, follow this procedure: 1. Go to *Help > Install new add-ons* to open an add-on selection dialog box. FM/OXY: Different DITA code for "conkeyref"

Hi list, As some of you know, I have just switched from FrameMaker to oXygen. I discovered that the two programs create different DITA code for "<dlentry conkeyref="...">. oXygen creates an empty * *tag before the closing </dlentry> tag. Are both codes equally correct? Or is one better than the other? oXygen code: <dlentry conkeyref="lib_ref/search"> <dt/> <dd>**</dd> </dlentry> FrameMaker code: <dlentry conkeyref="lib_ref/search"> <dt/> <dd/> </dlentry> Referenced dita topic: <dlentry id="search"> <dt><uicontrol keyref="color_search_box"/></dt> <dd>Use this option to quickly find a specific color if many colors are loaded.Enter the first few letters or any part of the color name. This will select the first color the name of which is matched by these characters.If your input matches multiple colors, click on the small arrow to select a color from the list. This list contains only colors with names that contain the characters you have entered.</dd> </dlentry> BTW: This difference became obvious after defining a Schematron rule which outputs an error for <dd> elements which do not have any child elements. I have defined this rule and many similar ones because I want to wrap every paragraph in wherever is valid. The FM-generated code (<dd/>) is marked up as invalid by this rule. It would be a nightmare to change all these hundreds of "conkeyref"s in all my projects. After Fluenta update the context menu action disappeared

Hello, the Fluenta context menu action in the DITA Maps Manager view disappeared after updating to Fluenta 3.3. Reinstalling the plug-in didn't help, reinstalling Oxygen didn't help either. Is there some temporary config file I have to change/delete to get this working again? Please, advice. If you expand the XQuery entry from the left navigation pane you should find "Saxon-HE/PE/EE", that is the target page that contains that option. A trick is to also type in the filter box (top left text input in the Options dialog) what you want to find, for example "XQuery update" and that will get your the pages that contain that text, in this particular case it will show 3 Options pages * Editor / Content Completion / Code Templates * XML / XSLT-XQuery / XQuery / Saxon-HE/PE/EE * Menu Shortcut Keys The second being the one you want. The Oxygen editor says there is an error in my XQuery Update file but there is no error when I run it from the command line

I have a simple XQuery Update file: [cid:image001.png@01D92E34.704F90E0] Notice the error message. However, when I run the XQuery Update from a command line using Saxon, I get no errors. So why is the Oxygen editor saying there is an error? /Roger

DITA Reusable Components list (Keys tab) does not update

Hi list, I am used to edit ditamaps with key definitions using Notepad++. Having done so, I do not know how to update the list of keys in the DITA Reusable Components window. I can reindex the information on the Components tab, but there is no reindexing function for the Keys tab and pressing F5 does not have any effect. What can I do other than editing the key definitions in oXygen?
