customizing for pdf output

Solved... I originally had the customization folder as a subfolder to the working directory. So I had dita source files and output within the same folder as the customization folder. I pulled out the customization folder and put it on c: directory and the logo appeared. Whew... I wasted 2 days with this issue. Oxygen goes fullscreen finally!

I'm more excited about this than I should be, but I just noticed that under OS X Lion and Mountain Lion, the Oxygen app now has the fullscreen button in the toolbar--not sure if that's something you were able to add, or maybe it arrived in the last Java update, but now it works much better with Mission Control, which is awesome. Thanks!

Converting DITA-OT plugin from 1.5.4 to 1.6

Would anyone be willing to assist me in converting my plugin from 1.5.4 to 1.6? I have been trying to follow the Oxygen guide on inserting a company logo onto the title page for the pdf ouput. I have read the online instructions and have searched your forum. I have checked and double checked that I made the modifications as per instructions. I have modified many pieces of code and have matched what works for other people. Sadly, I have yet to be successful at inserting anything, image or text, onto the title page. I made one attempt a header/footer customization but that did not change the output either. Please help.

Toolbar containing table icons for inserting tables in Author mode

Adding Settings To A Plugin

I am trying to add some "simple" features to a Oxygen plugin that I am developing. 1. A Menu somewhere (preferably under Preferences > Plugins > MyPluginName) that allows me to toggle between two values and save that value permanently. 2. The ability to read the currently set value that was set in the prefrences. So far I have not been able to find any examples or clear documentation on how to do either. Hello, everyone, I feel very pleased to raise my first question in this group. I am using the following parameters to configure the display of the very large image when the image is generated into PDF and HTML : align="center" width="100%" contentdepth="100%" scalefit="1" But the result I got is not understandable. The parameters may work for an image but not for another. Even regarding the same image, they may work for the HTML generated via Oxygen while not for the HTML generated via Maven. Did anyone encounter the same situation and probably have already a solution? Thanks in advance. Yudong

ID a selection of tags?

Is there a way to highlight a group of tags and automatically assign IDs? I have a collection of ~60 uicontrols in a topic. <uicontrol>4</uicontrol> <uicontrol>12</uicontrol> <uicontrol>24</uicontrol> <uicontrol>60 Sec Prime</uicontrol> <uicontrol>1000</uicontrol> <uicontrol>A</uicontrol> <uicontrol>ABCDE</uicontrol> <uicontrol>Add</uicontrol> I'd like to autoassign an id based on the text something like id="ui_4". Maybe a prefix and suffix field that I could populate where prefix = ui_ and suffix = <text>. Before I reinvent the wheel, I was curious if oxygen had a mechanism to do this. I think I can do this fairly easily with a regex replace if that's the best method. Thanks! White-on-white tooltip help

I have a colleague whose Oxygen shows tooltip help and 'content completion' help as white text on a white background. My colleague says that it's been that way across multiple previous versions of Oxygen on the same computer. The content completion help shows the icons for the options, and the currently selected option is visible as darkish text on a white background, but the other options and the second pop-up box with additional information about the current option all show as white-on-white. Updating Xerces component

Hi, would it be possible to ship newer version of Xerces with oXygen? I know that you are using patched version so it is probably not that easy to switch to a newer version, but I have been just hit by the following Xerces bug in oXygen: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XERCESJ-1512?page=com.atlassian.jira.… Which according to the bug log should be fixed in post 2.11 version. Is there any way to have Oxygen promote this kind of warning as an oxygen warning on output? [fop] 12988 WARN [ main ] org.apache.fop.apps.FOUserAgent - Page 7: Unresolved ID reference "unique_67" found. Specifically this was caused by an xref to an file that exists but wasn't in the current map. Now that I know about it, it's not a problem but it would be great if Oxygen could call this sort of problem out with more attention. Thanks! Company-specific help embedded in oXygen?

Hi there, http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlbase/ says this: " In the example below, the base URI of element e2 should be returned as "http://example.org/wine/rosé". <?xml version="1.0"?> <e1 xml:base="http://example.org/wine/"> <e2 xml:base="rosé"/> </e1> " In oXygen 13.2, if I put the text input point after the e2 element and enter base-uri() into the xpath widget, the resulting value is "rosé" when the widget is set to process with XPath 2.0, whereas it is "http://example.org/wine/rosé" when evaluated with XPath 2.0 SA. Debugger stops showing parameters for a while?

Hello, I'm using Oxygen 14.0, build 2012062215. In the debugger, with Saxon 9.4.0.3 PE. I have a stylesheet running with a specified XML document as input. A certain named template is called, <xsl:template name="allowed-formats"> <xsl:param name="mixedItemTypes" select="false()" as="xs:boolean"/> <xsl:param name="tableScopeType" select="''" as="xs:string"/> <xsl:variable name="file" select="."/> <xsl:variable name="typePlural" select="local-name($file/..)"/> I step through these lines one by one using "Step Into". When the cursor goes past the first <xsl:param> line, the debugger "Variables" window shows the mixedItemTypes parameter, as it should. But when I step past the second <xsl:param> line (and the cursor goes to the "."), the $mixedItemTypes parameter disappears from the Variables window, and the $tableScopeType parameter doesn't show up. After a few more steps in the same template, both parameters appear in the Variables window. This makes it very awkward to debug what's happening, if the time when you need to see the value of one of the parameters happens to be a time when it won't show up. Also, when these parameters are not showing in the "Variables" window, they also are inaccessible from expressions (e.g. "$tableScopeType") in the XWatch window. Styling conrefs

I would like to style my conrefs so that during our internal PDF reviews we can quickly recognize what content is conrefed. I'd just like to make them slightly off-white or grey or stick a border on them or something along those lines. Any thoughts on how to do this? Copy from Messages pane

I wish there was more options to copy from the Messages pane. Right now when you copy from the Messages pane you get a lot of info about where the source message came from, but I'd like to be able to copy just a selection of text from the message pane. What about a message View box, so you double click the message and you get all the details about the message and a text box with message in it that you can copy from. Framework add-ons -- what and where?

I am attempting to configure installing a framework as an add-on. I have an extensions XML file on a remote host defining the framework, and oXygen can find the file and provide all the right version and license information, but after I install the add-on and restart oXygen (or vice-versa, since it's not clear at what point the add-on is actually installed), there's no trace of the installed framework other than it being listed as "Installed" in the "Manage Add-ons..." dialog box. The file referred to from xt:location/href is a Zip file containing the oXygen framework file and, in subdirectories, the schema and Schematron files used in the framework. Is there anything about the layout in the Zip file that needs to change? oXygen says the add-on is installed, but where do I look to see what was downloaded, since the framework doesn't show up in the "Document Type Associations" preferences? It's making no difference whether or not I specifically run as "Administrator" on this Windows machine. In-place rename

Hi group I try to use the in-place rename feature as follows: 1. In Author mode, I put my cursor in the text in an element. 2. I press ALT+SHIFT+R. However, nothing seems to happen (also when I select the element itself). When I check the menu shortcut keys for rename, I see that the ALT+SHIFT+R shortcut is assigned to "Rename Component" in the "Refactoring" Category. In this list, I also see "Rename" but in the "XML Refactoring" category. When I assign the ALT+SHIFT+R shortcut to that Rename action, it works. Is this the idea or am I doing something wrong here? css counter reset after closing paragraph / section?

Hi, I've created a dita schema extension that contains an ilexample for a complex example and an innerExample element for nesting in it. In css I make the ilexampleCounter increase each time an ilexample element is added to my topic. But when I nest those ilexamples in e.g. a paragraph, or section, each time a new paragraph or section starts, the ilexampleCounter is reset to 1. Is there a way to prevent this behavior, so that wherever my ilexample is placed in a topic, it will always get a higher number than the previous one? Kind regards, Ing.
