xProc/Upgrade Calabash?

How tightly is Calabash integrated with oXygen? I tried to get Calabash 0.9.19 to work from within oXygen; naively dropping the jar file lib/xproc/calabash obviously doesn't work, but neither does creating a new XProc engine instance under /Preferences/XML/XProc/XProc engines that points to a clean 0.9.19 installation. Is there a straightforward way to update Calabash on the user's end? stylesheet documentation -- what language?

My apologies if this has already been mentioned and I didn't notice. I have recently started using oXygen's documentation feature to generate HTML documentation for my XSLT stylesheets. I just went to find out something about a stylesheet, and looked at the documentation in my browser rather than opening the stylesheet. To my horror, I could not figure out if it was written in XSLT 1 or XSLT 2. It would be nice if somewhere near the top of the documentation there was an indication of the language the stylesheet is written in (currently only XSLT 1.0, 2.0, I guess, but there will be other possibilities in the future). Perhaps another box in the "main file" collapsible area would do the trick. Could also mention reliance on extension functions there, maybe? I'm currently using oXygen 11.1 (build 2009122213 on Mac OS X, but I doubt any of this matters).

new here...with a DocBook question

Hei, my name's Andre and i just joined the list. I'm currently using a trial of oXygen Editor (the eclipse plugin installed in Aptana Studio) and am planning to buy the product. I'm primarily using the Author at this stage as a DocBook IDE. I'm not quite happy with the results of the transformation to PDF, particularly around Image scaling and general DocBook support. Image scaling: It seems the PDF transformation always scales images. That seems somewhat logical. However, i'm writing software documentation with a lot of screenshots. Other PDF exporter processes (like the one in OOo) manage to translate the screenshot's pixel size into a print unit (mm/pc/in) that matches the original image size more adequately. In the DocBook case, the stylesheet seems to make the images somewhat too large. Also, i couldn't find a way to limit the width of the scaled image to a maximum, but keep lower images at their original scale. Can anyone please help me with that? Tag support: It seems the transformation is a little incomplete/doesn't support some DocBook tags. Particularly, i have some 'task's in there that don't seem to translate into the PDF (they plain disappear including all their descendants). I'm using Apache FOP for FO processing and from what i gather that might be the problem. I'm running Linux and am happy to install xmlroff, if someone can confirm it helps. However, xmlroff seems incomplete, as well. Is there any 'complete' FO processor that would be the recommended choice? What are others using for DocBook to PDF transformations? Should i go via LaTeX instead? Lastly, i installed docbook2odf and setup a new transformation profile within oXygen that uses the docbook2odf stylesheets. Which at first sight seems to do the right thing, but when i try opening the resulting .odm (??) file in OpenOffice, the good thing throws me the ascii import dialog and i subsequently get the plain XML code in Writer. XSLT doc: function signatures menu

Hi, Still about the oXygen documentation system for XSLT, the generated function summary (in the left-hand side panel) looks like: http://fgeorges.org/tmp/oxygen-doc-summary.png. In order to improve its readability, I'd like to suggest two changes: 1/ put no withespace in front of a function name, but put one in front of continuation lines (if the signatures continue on several lines) and 2/ do not put the param types in the signatures (anyway there is no overload on types). Sections in XSLT documentation

Hi, Is there any way to document sections in a stylesheet, using oXygen XSLT documentation format? syntax for CSS @import

I'm trying to reference a css file that is sitting on a local drive (d:/styles.css) from within the frameworks\dita\css_classed\dita.css and will eventually be moved off to a network drive for safe keeping. It doesn't seem to work when the file is not in the frameworks\dita\css_classed dir. I've tried the following @import url("d:/styles.css"); @import "d:/styles.css"; @import url('d:/styles.css'); @import 'd:/styles.css'; @import url("d:\styles.css"); @import "d:\styles.css"; @import url('d:\styles.css'); @import 'd:\styles.css'; Have prefixed d: with file:/, file:///, file:\, and file:\\\ The reason I'm doing this is to not allow the writers to change the css whenever a whim hits them. First of all, we need to know what version of Syncro SVN Client do you use, what is the version of the used JVM and what operating system do you ran Syncro SVN Client on. Regarding the problems, it will be nice if you can give us more details about the context when you ran into the issues you mentioned: - how did you obtained the conflicts (as a result of what operation: update, merge etc) - how you resolved the conflicts before you can try to use the "Mark as Merged" option - if the merged files were regular text or binary resources - how large the commits are (as number of resources being committed, as size of MB) - please describe the "so confused" state of the working copy, what happens after, why the working copy is not usable anymore - please tell us which are the other issues and give us any possible details about them We need as much information as you can provide about this problems to investigate and solve them as quick as possible, because we haven't any other user complaining about this type of issues that you report. svn client issues

Over the last few months, I've started having issues so serious with the svn client, that I've had to stop using it. Files that I merge and mark as such do not actually get marked as merged (they still show as conflict). Large commits leave the local checkout is a state so confused I often have to remove it and re-checkout). And other issues. Is anyone else having these issues?

Embedding fonts in Oxygen for FOP

I am trying to embed a font containing Czech glyphs. Following Oxygen's instructions to embed a font in FOP for pdf output: On my Windows Vista system, with Apache FOP 0.95 and Oxygen 10.1, when I run ttfConvert.bat (see below), I get the error: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/fop/fonts/apps/TTFReader Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.fop.fonts.apps.TTFReader. When I look in that directory, there is an html file with that name, but no Java file. I do note at the head of the Oxygen document, it says for the built in FOP, but there is no org.apache... sub directory under oxygen Can you help? I recently spent considerable time trying to figure out how to globally change the default view mode from Author to Editor in v.11.1, and was unsuccessful. Memory tells me that this change was possible in previous versions. Such as setting would eliminate hundreds of clicks to manually switch the mode. Thank you. Weird-looking images in PDF when using Oxygen 10.x + DITA OT 1.x

I'm using Oxygen 10.x + DITA OT 1.x The PDFs compile just fine, but when I print them,the little "hand" icons used for the notes appears as a jumbled mess. All other GIFs are mangled, too. Is this a feature of the OT/PDF creation? Or is this something I can "tune" or fix in Oxygen 10 or the OT?

I agree w/ Gabby completely. When I want to look, or want my students to look, at TEI through CSS-colored glasses, I use a browser. When I use oXygen, I want (or want my studnets to) see pointy brackets. JAXP not present

Hi there, Everytime when I open a XSLT file in Oxygen, I get the following message at the bottom: E[JAXP] The transformer JAXP is not present. Please install it ... I have no idea what this refers to, but I have seen it for a while. Customizing XSD Documentation Output (PDF & HTML)

The client has asked how to go about customizing the PDF and HTML output to add a company logo & other branding, etc. Are there instructions available anywhere on how to achieve this, or can anyone outline the process for me? Is there a way to stop oxygen from reformatting lines of text marked with <codeblock> or <lines>?

I am writing documentation that includes code samples. I currently am putting them in the concept type marked with <codeblock> or <lines> (I've not decided yet which is the best solution). But, if I reformat the text (because other content I'm placing in the <p> blocks comes in as one very long line) so I can more easily edit the xml, the content in the <codeblock> or <lines> section is reformatted, losing all the carefully placed indents in the code.That is, the code that would appear in the PDF or HTML is reformatted so that it is all flush left with an indent of about 1 inch. I want it to remain indented hierarchically. So for example, a code sample as it appears in the Author view <script> Some script here A subroutine here More stuff </script> etc. It becomes this <script> Some script here A subroutine here More stuff </script> which, technically, would work as code, but it hard to read in the documentation. The code in the Editor view looks like this: <codeblock> <script> Some script here A subroutine here More stuff >/script> </codeblock> and so on. Map Manager Doesn't Appear to Reflect Navigation Titles in <navtitle>

If I have topicrefs of the form: <topicref> <topicmeta> <navtitle>Navigation Title</navtitle> </topicmeta> </topicref> I'm not seeing the navigation titles in the map manager. If I add @navtitle attributes to the same topicrefs, I see the navigation title. Should definitely see the navigation title in the first case. Using a catalog with a saxon xquery scenario

I depend on catalogs for resolving DTDs in my XML files. I've specified the catalog I want to use in the preferences for XML Catalog. It works for XSLT, just not for XQuery. The specific error I get is this: SystemID: /xquery/find_topicrefs_w_href_w_child_topicref.xquery Engine name: Saxon-PE XQuery 9.2.0.3 Severity: error Description: /sanderson_dev/dev/doc/164/patch/core/en/xmlsource/map.dtd (No such file or directory) Any ideas? Putting an image URL in an image reference

I'm using Oxygen 10.x I have image urls that our users use that look like this: " https://www.mysite.com/image/button?color=orange&OwnerId=JoeSmith&size=larg… " When these URLs are opened, they pull in the right button based upon the owner, color, size, and background. If I try to use this image URL as-is in the image tag, I get an error because the "&" means the following word is treated as an HTML entity name such as &copy or &trade. So I changed the "&" in the URL to "&" Now I don't get an error, but I also don't get an image. Is there a way to modify this URL so it retrieves the right image using the syntax I'm using? fo processing error with xep

Can anyone suggest where to begin debugging this? I don't yet have the XSL chops to do more than vaguely guess what's happening in the lines referenced in the error messages. I'm running Oxygen 11 in Eclipse 3.6 on Ubuntu 9.10. (And cross-posting to the XEP list.) quick find changes in 11.1

I might be crazy, but it looks like the incremental search (or "quick find") feature changed between versions 11 and 11.1. In 11.1, when I activate quick find, the previous search term is still in the search box, unhighlighted. When I start typing my new search term is appended to the old search term, matching nothing. For example: SearchOneSearchTwo The entire search term is highlighted if I pres control-alt-f again, at which point I can start typing and overwrite it. What this means is that every time I want to do an incremental search, I end up pressing control-alt-f, control-alt-f. I think the previous (and desired) behavior in 11.0 and previous versions was that when quick find was activated, the old term was highlighted, so that typing started a new search term. In other words, I could press control-alt-f, begin typing, and find what I intend immediately. If I'm correct, is there any chance of restoring the old behavior in the next release? Thanks, -James

saxon9-ant.jar?

<oXygen/> comes with Saxon and with Ant. Would it be possible for it to also come with saxon9-ant.jar so it's possible to use the <saxon-xslt> Ant task when running Ant within <oXygen/> without having to add any extra jars? Of course, if <oXygen/> came with saxon9-ant.jar, I'd then also look for the DTD for Ant that's bundled with <oXygen/> to include the <saxon-ant> element.
